Devastating news!
When will people learn that wild animals and reptiles do not make good family pets. They should be left in the wild where they belong.
It is not cool to own a non domesticated animal, it is foolish.
This is so sad!

From the map in the link, that looks like it is quite close to the Oxford Post Office which is maybe a mile from the Villages High School.
What a sad story.

So now in addition to gators and water snakes in the ponds, we have to be careful not to disturb 12 ft plus pythons!

If you go west past 301 on 466, it is out there a few miles. The adults should get jail time. Heck if you drink and killl someone you go to pay the crime and do the time. This is no different. Dont even think the snakes were permitted. Tragic as it is, This is what happens when you dont pay attention.
The size of a 2 year old would have been the perfect meal size for a 12 foot Python. What on earth are people thinking when they do this. Not the first time and sure wont be the last.
Would love to know how it got out of the cage to begin with? at 12 foot, it should of been one big A**** cage?????

the news blurb showed what the snake was in and it appeared to be your ordinary run of the mill aquarium for FISH! go figure...it did not appear to have any type of a top on it probably a piece of cardboard with books on the top...
the mentality of some people just leaves me here scratching my head and wondering where are your common senses? :cus::cus::cus:
