Is it just me but it looks like for every Villager arrested that is over 55 there are 10 under 55? How does that happen in a community for 55 and over residents?

Yeah, seems the case to me as well. I suspect in almost every case it is the adult child who moved in with mom and/or dad. Like the daughter of the lady murdered here, I also suspect that a goodly percentage of those "adults" are troubled people, that is, dope-dependent, scum-sucking, elbow walking vermin. Caveat, caveat, caveat -- a lot of/most adult children living with their parents in TV are not at all like those described above or those who make the weekly police blotter. There's a plethora of reasons for this situation, some obvious, some not so, and for the most part, the reason is not our business. I'm sure there are an abundance of situations where mom & dad are financially or physically dependent upon the child and the only way they can handle living in TV is to include the adult child. God bless 'em for watching for their parents. But oh these other cases. Some of them were losers as kids, they were losers as young adults out on their own, and now that the only place left for them is back imposing on mom & dad here in TV, they're still losers.
As I've said before, I may be wrong, but no, this time I'm not.

Reluctantly, I must say that :agree: :agree: with Muncle on this matter. It pains me to see police blotter items wherein residents of TV are "underage," because it almost automatically follows that the individual is in some way "impaired." Most of the time, I'm afraid it means that the individual is a drug addict, an alcoholic, or mentally "deficient."
It always makes me sad.

With most of the comments made so far, :agree:. PennBF needs to remember that a "55 plus" community simply means, legally, that in 80% of the homes in TV at least one resident of the household is 55 or older. The only absolute is that no one under 19 can be a permanent resident.

Isn't it typical coincidence that the week after we have the above discussion, the Police Blotter cites only 1 Villages resident and he's 64. FYI, the guy was busted for "criminal use of personal identification; habitual driving while license suspended; and giving false name to law enforcement officers. Bond was set at $5,000."
Just a reminder that even though TV is a wonderful place and the vast majority of its residents are fine people and great neighbors, people still carry the same devils that made them what they were elsewhere. Moving here might help a bit, but it won't make a jerk into a saint.
