We are thinking about visiting Denmark. We would like to get immersed in the culture. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you.

In Copenhagen, visit Tivoli Gardens and take a locally-guided tour of (Freetown) Christiania.

The people are very polite and all of them speak English. They are taught English at a very young age, so you will have no language barrier. Teens are paid to go to college!!! We were there this past August and you will only need a light jacket in summer, unless planning to go up mountains.

the home town of Hans Christian Anderson is lovely....lots of cottages with hollyhocks growing along the walls....and i found a great and affordable restaurant on the corner within the old square which was the oldest in Copenhagen but i cannot remember the name of it....am sure it must still be there. if you were looking at the square from the pedestrian street, it would be on the back wall on the left corner.
