He has a case, and none of this would have happened if he wasn't taking advice from reactionaries.
He either needs to pull this back, reword it and try again or he will be out of luck.
If he wants to secure our country, he could have and still can, but here we go with his ego where it is my way or the highway.

You're actually correct.
Had Trump simply thought it out (and not had Giuliani spout off about him being asked to try and hide it from what it is...a Muslim ban :D )...he could have crafted an executive order that would have had a chance.
Especially if it included major Muslim countries...where he had business interests.
What really hurt it, was the way Chump made everyone jump through hoops and start enforcing it...before any reasonable notice or thought was given. :ohdear:

What the radical left court has done is a sad day for the USA.
Like the temporary order Trump enacted or not....he is the president with much more secure knowledge and input with which he has taken a constitutionally allowed action to increase the security of this country.
Like it or not he has the right and the constitutional power to do so.
And the state of Washington advances a 3rd party injury...students can't get back to school from overseas...as an "injury" to the universities, hence unable to conduct the business of the university.
Really. The legal BS about a university can't do it's business supercedes the president of the USA and orders to protect the country from harm!!!!!
I don't care whether you have an R or D or whatever after your name. This is judicial politics plain and simple. Demonstarting the left's priorities have nothing to do with the security of the USA.
Our enemies will have a field day with this new information, that there is a way to emaculate the president of the most powerful country on earth.
Conratulations 9th circuit court....enemiy of we the people of the USA.
And yes all the radical partisan flag wavers and parrots will be out in full force celebrating a very serious injury to the running and staure of our country.
Un-:censored:-believable.
That is cause for demonstrating and rioting in the streets.

1. The President did not have to mention any religion...he did.
2. He picked countries that do not, and have not been involved in any terrorist attacks.
3. He ignored countries that do and have presented threats.
4. The wording and execution was disasterous.
My opinion....this is a test balloon...how much can I get away with.
If he really wanted to protect the country, he would have perhaps issued executive order to increase vetting....problem is they can find nothing wrong with current vetting.

He does not have to "see what he can get away with".
You are demonstrating the pattern the left is promoting...ignore the fact that the president of the USA has a constitutional right to do what he did...like it or not....smooth or not...or what ever else......
the 9th circuit court or any other court can not over turn what the president has ordered by virtue of constitutional power.
That is the issue.....which the opposition will most certainly not agree with.....we shall see.

2. We are a country of laws, NOT of men. Trite, but apropo

The 7 countries named in Trumps travel ban are the same countries Obama defined as having a high risk of acts of terrorism.
a president has the constitutional right here. Carter did it with Iran. FDr not only banned travel he placed Germans, Italians and japanese in internment camps
This issue is about Trump and its about the fact that progressives lost.
Trump will prevail at the Supreme Court, and if by chance the supreme court justice also get political then they place all citizens at risk by denying a president to act based on intelligence received with those who would harm us.
Progressives are playing a really stupid by dangerous game

He should not win at the Supreme Court level if these Justices have any respect for the US Constitution or for the Founding Fathers who wrote it. My guess is that the Supreme Court will refuse to hear the case. Almost any law student tell you that this ban is unconstitutional on its face. Stranger things have happened though like Trumpff getting elected as President. Still cannot understand how so many people could fall for this con man's demagoguery.

The 7 countries were identified as countries that Americans should not VISIT. Those countries have no attacks in approx 40 years. It also contradicts as it avoids naming countries that actually have a history of attacks.
Previous administrations (Iran holding Americans prisoner, and attack on Pear Harbor) were quite different.
No ban you mentioned, had a religious reference.
They current ban was poorly constructed by an incompetent staff to meet any constitutional test.
President might win eventually, and I hope he does. He has lots of support from those "evil" progressives if he does it correctly.

Yes we are in REAL REAL terrible danger Will Robinson OH PLEASE! If there was such a big danger when asked what the new danger was the arguing AG left crickets in the air. NO ANSWER, he lost the case, the orange baboon should have waited until his NEW LAW AND ORDER RACIST AG was sworn in to argue the merits of the case. He was greedy left Sessions in as a Senator to get DeVo nominated, now he could loose big time HA HA!!!!!!!! IF we are in REAL REAL danger Will Robinson, pull back your ban and start again instead of dragging it out for months!!!!!!
Seems he has plenty of time to rag on Nordstroms about Ivanka's line which by the way is made in China!!!!! I wouldn't buy it either.
KellyAnne runs QVC from the press room for Ivanka the rules don't apply to them, maybe you guys should just go ahead and drink the cool aide now and don't wait because we are in DANGER, I think the danger is coming is coming from Russia and what they have on the baboon!
If Flynn did talk to a Russian official 2 times before the baboon took office and told them don't worry about the sanctions ,Flynn was just a citizen meddling in US foreign affairs about sanction brought forth by the administration in power. Pence THEN went on an explanation tour saying it wasn't so Flynn only set up meetings, now we're not so sure. Flynn is saying he can't remember if he talked about the sanctions, these calls were picked up on tape!!!!! SEEMS to me this is TREASON at the time he was a nobody!!!!!!!! Of course not according to THEM ( one president at a time did not apply )
DO THE RULES APPLY TO THIS ADMINISTRATION???????

The ninth circuit is the most overturned court in the country. They will be over turned by the SJC as soon as the administration can get it to them.
The ninth circuit entire argument was based on the fact that green card holders and other permanent resident's are included in the ban. What the president should do is write another executive order excluding those people and the court will have no objection.
The TRO is only for ninety days. The SJC should be able to hear the case and overturn this ridiculous decision by then.

Am I missing something ? There are people in this world who would cut off your head because you do not share their religion. They would forcibly convert your wives to their religion and enslave them in a culture that existed in the 13th century. Your children and grandchildren would also be forced to go along, or be killed. No, I am not anti Islam, but some its adherents, a very tiny minority, would by choice do these things to you and yours. To achieve their goals, they are perfectly and happily willing to also kill you and yours by any means possible.
Is it not a smart idea to do whatever is deemed necessary to keep these jackasses out of the United States ? Should not we be working on whatever methods which might accomplish this, however imperfect, without respect to who authors them ? Can we at least agree denying them entrance to our great nation is a goal we can all agree upon ? Can we also not agree, half measures are better then doing nothing at all ?
For those that think non-citizens far off our shores enjoy the same rights as U.S. citizens under our Constitution, I really be terribly surprised that was what its drafters had in mind.

None of the countries he had put bans on have had any terrorists coming from the United States.
Of course we need some kind of actions to keep terrorists out of this country but not a policy so stupid that it creates more terrorists who we will have to plan for in the future. Really? Keeping them out makes us less safe? You mean the same way an open border with Canada and Mexico keeps us safe? If "terrorists" want in...they'll get in. Tons and TONS of "contraband" is smuggled in each year. There are over 11 million illegals who get here EACH year.
You are being deliberately kept frightened. So they can borrow and give it to their "political contributors".

Why aren't you anti-Islam? Because that is what Islam does. The REAL Islam...not the "Muslim in name only" Muslims that you may know. They're like "Catholics" or "Jews" who don't follow the rules.

For those that think non-citizens far off our shores enjoy the same rights as U.S. citizens under our Constitution, I really be terribly surprised that was what its drafters had in mind.
I really believe, as stated previously that most Americans are fine with a temporary ban.
This EO was poorly constructed and terribly executed.
My opinion..cancel it..re write it correctly

Why did the Appeals Court rely so heavily on "no proof these people have attacked on U.S. soil"? What, we have to let them in without vetting to see if they will? Seems like shutting the gate after all the cattle have gone out.
From what I also "heard", they never referenced his Constitutional authority to suspend these immigrants and visitors. (Note: I said heard.) It is a suspension, not a permanent ban. Ninety days is not permanent.

united states - Has the 9th Circuit Court been overturned 80% of the time? - Skeptics Stack Exchange (http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/37198/has-the-9th-circuit-court-been-overturned-80-of-the-time)
No. 0.12% of cases ruled on by the 9th circuit were overturned. 99.85% of cases were not heard by the Supreme Court. 0.03% of cases were confirmed by the Supreme Court.
In 99.88% of cases, the Supreme Court either wasn't brought in, chose not to take the case or approved of the 9th circuit's rulings.
This is from the data found by DavePhD.
The total number of cases decided by the 9th circuit court of appeals was 114,199.
Of that number, 107 were reversed, 33 were vacated, and 35 affirmed by the Supreme Court.
A total of 0.15% of 9th circuit cases were heard by the Supreme Court
Of those cases, 80% were overturned (reversed or vacated). This is the "Reversal Rate" and is the number they are using.
The quote omits the fact that the "Reversal Rate", as understood by lawyers, does not include cases that weren't reviewed by the Supreme Court.
Let me repeat.
The SCOTUS typically only looks at cases that might be overturned to begin with.
And we don't even know yet...whether the SCOTUS will even take this case.
The fact that The Supremes only took .15% of the Ninth Circuits rulings to look at, means that 99.85% of the Ninth Circuit cases...they didn't think were worth reviewing (potential reversals).
You're welcome. :D

And yet...YOU...REFUSE to accept the FACT that minorities ARE destroying this country. That we've fallen from #1 to #25 BECAUSE of the lowered standards and quotas afforded to women/minorities.
You REFUSE to accept the FACT that minorities ARE the MAJORITY below the age of 7 and at the current rate of THEIR population growth...WILL BE the controlling majority withing 30 years.
You REFUSE to accept the FACT that the 11+ millions of illegals AT ANY ONE TIME...dropped 10s of millions of anchor babies who are now having their own kids and it is therefore a mathematical certainty that the "White America" of our times...will be history...within 30 years.

These are countries that were chosen by the Obama administration. It would not have made any difference which countries were chosen, the anti-American lefty court would have gone against Trump without even reading the documentation. And they will continue to do so, in an attempt to undermine anything that Trump does, like the traitors they are. But, Trump will get his way eventually. If this makes them feel good to put Americans in harms way, so be it. That is typical of the left to NOT care about fellow Americans. It's all about their (Soros) ideology. The left does not even know that an Anti-America, hater wishes to destroy America and is using his money to do so. Countries and the numbers of people who were eventually convicted of terror crimes:
Somalia: 20
Yemen: 19
Iraq: 19
Syria: 7
Iran: 4
Libya: 2
Since 9/11, 72 people coming from the seven countries named in President Donald Trump's executive order have been convicted on terrorism charges.
17 of those who have been convicted claimed to be refugees, while three came into the United States as students. Twenty-five more eventually became American citizens
How accurate are these numbers? I'll let the so-called lefty experts do the research. Although, with Pelugosi still thinking that Bush is president and Waters thinking that Putin is invading N.Korea, I wouldn't put much stock in the left being any more accurate.

No, I really don't
see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure
we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent
on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be
allowed to profile certain people...
Absolutely No Profiling!
They must conduct random searches of
80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor recipient and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males alone lest they be guilty of profiling.
Have the American People
completely lost their Minds,
or just their Power of Reason???

can so that the stupid judges that want to thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense.

First of all, lets discuss the origin of the "statistics" you cite....
The source was originally the "Center for Immigration Studies", and then picked up by the WH and spread.
44 of the 72 were NOT convicted on terrorism charges at all.
28 of the 72 were convicted or pled guilty of terrorism related activities, actually the greatest majority were convicted helping finance terrorism, ie. sending donations overseas.
4 of the 72 were arrested overseas and extradited.
This was delivered to the media by Stephan Miller, the senior advisor to the President, but he neglected to fill in the blanks.
So the truth is that 28 were convicted of terrorism charges. 3 were implicated in planed attacks on US soil, and 1 was convicted of planning an attack on US Soil on US citizens and it was part of a sting operation.
Somalia: 20................16
Yemen: 19..............04
Iraq: 19..................04
Syria: 7..................02
Iran: 4....................02
Libya: 2...................0
I took your list and the second number is the REAL number of folks actually convicted of terrorism.
Somalia at the top should be mentioned as the place where we just lost a Marine, and word is that more are being sent there.
Bottom line is that the numbers being bandied about are fiction and have no basis in fact. This remember is over 16 years.
Seems to me, that reviewing vetting which is being done is a good thing. BUT, it also seems to me that we should trust our White House to present facts and not twist them for political purposes.
Terrorism and Trump's Travel Ban - FactCheck.org (http://www.factcheck.org/2017/02/terrorism-and-trumps-travel-ban/)
That number 72 was not picked up and published, thankfully, by any respected news sources, but certainly was spread around the far right wing.
Again, we should be able to TRUST the White House to supply tru information.

Actually the 7th circuit is the most overturned court in the country. All the true stats are here: Does the Supreme Court Overturn 80 Percent of Ninth Circuit Court Decisions? (http://www.snopes.com/ninth-circuit-court-most-overturned/)

Keeping in mind that the percentage mentioned are ONLY those cases that the SCOTUS has chosen to review...which is a miniscule % of the TOTAL cases each circuit has ruled on.
Per the link...
In short, social media claims that 80 percent of cases decided by the Ninth Circuit were overturned were flat out false; more than 99 percent of that circuit’s decisions stood and the Supreme Court reviewed a scant 0.106 percent of circuit court cases each year.

Have we tried to add the Phillipines to the list ?
No way...this is Trumps buddy....
"Mayhem broke out across the southern Philippine city of Marawi where militants besieged it and hoisted flags of the so-called “Islamic State.” Located on the southern island of Mindanao, the city is only slightly removed from Al Qaeda affiliate Abu Sayyaf’s primary area of operation on nearby Jolo and Basilan islands.
The UK Independent in an article titled, “Isis-linked militants take priest and churchgoers hostage in Philippines,” would report:
President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law in the south because of the militants’ siege on the city on Tuesday and abandoned a trip to Russia to deal with the crisis.
Mr Duterte vowed to place southern Mindanao island, where Marawi is situated, and its 22 million residents under military rule for up to a year if necessary."

And of course not thread is complete without another blatant lie told directly from OUR White House by the President, as he speaks to his loyal subjects who believe whatever he says.....
"TRUMP, in a telephone call to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte: "I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the unbelievable job on the drug problem. Many countries have the problem, we have a problem, but what a great job you are doing and I just wanted to call and tell you that." — Philippine government transcript of April 29 phone call, reported by The Washington Post.
THE FACTS: Trump's own State Department's human rights report, updated in March, described in harsh terms the more than 6,000 killings by police and vigilantes of suspected Philippine drug dealers and users. The killings, carried out without formal evidence or trials, were to fulfill a Duterte campaign promise to eliminate illegal drug activity in the country by the end of last year.
The report said Duterte released lists of suspected drug criminals on at least two occasions and some on those lists were killed in police or vigilante operations. It says "authorities made promises of immunity from investigation and prosecution for officers involved in drug killings."
