My lovely wife read somewhere that a Hadley owner had a problem with their roof shingles. Has anyone heard of a similar situation or can direct me to the TOTV thread?
Thanks

I do know of one of our neighbors having to have the roof shingles replaced and my wife has heard of a couple others being replaced on the northern end of Hadley.
If your home is near the end of the one year warranty then I would suggest having a home inspection done. We used A1 and it cost us $199. He did find 4 or 5 minor issues, which warranty promptly had corrected, that we were not aware of. The inspector did tell me that he has found shingle issues but it is certainly not a widespread problem.

We chose not to have a home inspection but my friend whose roof is being replaced had two home inspections, one when she was thinking to buy and one at the end of the year. Neither found the roof shingle difficulty. She was called by Owens Corning the roof shingle manufacturer and they told her that they found her bad batch of shingles through random sampling.
I am confused as to how that happened and a little suspicious too. That is the reason I posted , wondering about more information.
My friend and I both own homes in Hadley.

That can happen and did happen to us when we re-shingled our previous home in CT. The roofer doing the job noticed a difference in the shingles on one side of the roof and stopped working. He told us about it but we could not see the difference. He said it had something to do with a different batch number being mixed in with our batch. (Apparently the shingles are given batch numbers to correspond with when they are manufactured, at least that is what someone else told me). At any rate the manufacturer paid for the roofer to remove the shingles from that side of the roof and for new ones to be installed.
