The real problem with white society/culture, is that black culture (as a whole) realizes they can't compete on the great grounds of civilization against white people. Perhaps you are correct? However another possibility is that racism has always existed it's just that it was labeled something else such as tribalism? Indeed some it may have been for defense of their village but the notion that you are different then me and hence I do not trust you sets the framework for racism

ALL classifications are a "modern conception. That's WHEN they started classifying. Most white people had never seen a negroid prior to the 1600s.

Yes they discriminated...because they KNEW trying to "educate" blacks is a waste of time and resources. How far have we gotten? BLACK majority schools are violent and dangerous hell holes where NOBODY would send their kids. It IS a waste of time and money trying to "equalize" them. Many religious sects separate themselves from mainstream society based on their religious belief not racism.

Even today we have a number of schools which are all boy or all girl schools, again nothing attached to racism.

My reading of what you referenced is that a number of prominent white men early on recognized the folly of slavery and the civil unrest it was causing and made a good faith decision to return blacks back to their nation country.

The reading pertaining to Charles Taylor convicted of war crimes help my recollection of this nation

We could spent several hours on conversing about Liberia.

bottom line slavery was wrong and this nation moved to make a course correction a number of times and that fact shouldn't be left out in any discussion on this topic. thanks again for the help

They knew they were not us and we'd NEVER all live in peace together...needed a place to send them.
