My 1.5 yr old beagle Bob has been on a vet prescribed diet for about three months now and has lost about 5 pounds. Two or three to go and he'll be at his optimum sniffin' weight.

yep mine too...we got him from an abused situation about 7 years ago and soon after took him to get fixed..well he blew up like a lil torpedo...so he has been hoofing it with me on my walks and is now back to his svelt self...
btw he is a cheewawa mix not sure mixed with what???what ever got over the fence (or under)

Barbara - love that counting dog. The only thing ours counts in the minutes until we feed him. So, to answer the original question, yes he is fat.
