Very interesting. We rode past 6 & 7 on the way to the airport a couple of weeks ago. Our driver was pointing out all the land we didn't know was owned by TV. It's amazing.

It is the large Coleman Federal Correctional complex.
Fenny is adjacent to a gated community called Coleman Federal Correctional Complex (Prison).

The complex has 1,600 acres of space. As of 2010 the complex, the largest correctional facility operated by the BOP, altogether had 7,120 prisoners, and 1,300 employees, making it one of the largest employers in the county. Most prisoners are sentenced for drug-related crimes. Prisoners are male with the exception of those in the female work camp. The prisoners on average have sentences of 10 years.

The complex consists of four facilities:

Federal Correctional Institution, Coleman Low (FCI Coleman Low): a low-security facility.
Federal Correctional Institution, Coleman Medium (FCI Coleman Medium): a medium-security facility with an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum-security inmates.
United States Penitentiary I, Coleman (USP Coleman I): a high-security facility.
United States Penitentiary II, Coleman (USP Coleman II): a high-security facility.

Just as a curiosity, how high were you flying? Were you using a wide angle lens? I have a commercial drone certification and was planning on heading over that way, but I'm limited to 400 feet. Not sure that my wide angle will cover as much territory as you have.

All of the pictures were taken using an old Canon T2i with the standard EFS 18-55mm lens. I maintain 1,000 above populated areas and maybe a little less above parts of Fenney with no people or structures below me. If I drop this old camera, no big loss. :icon_wink:

I would enjoy seeing your drone pictures of Fenney taken from a lower altitude. I flew $1,000 RC drones back in Ohio as a Horizon Hobby dealer and enjoyed taking pictures from them.

This would be the secure area through the woods to the South of some parts of Fenney and I don't fly low over that area.

If I'm correct.....you took this almost directly over Pinellas Plaza.
Top right and out of the pic would be Eisenhower Rec Center. The big lake in the center is Lake Deaton.
So its a picture of....Collier, Pinellas, and lots of other Villages.
Great shots, especially the more recent ones.
What will the Fenney Island be ? Looks like the making of a pitch and putt.

If possible, could you put a simple direction indicator on each of them or anything that would give a clue of N, S, E, or W. If not I certainly understand but they are so interesting I wish I could orient myself on some of them. Especially the one with the security facilities. All of the pictures were taken using an old Canon T2i with the standard EFS 18-55mm lens that if dropped is no great loss. And Yes, I am driving to Oshkosh with four as the Cub only holds two.

Someday, I may use my GoPro to record flights around TV to then place on YouTube such as this flight around Chicago going to Oshkosh 2012.

All of the pictures were taken using an old Canon T2i with the standard EFS 18-55mm lens that if dropped is no great loss. And Yes, I am driving to Oshkosh with four as the Cub only holds two.

Someday, I may use my GoPro to record flights around TV to then place on YouTube such as this flight around Chicago going to Oshkosh 2012.

Great photos. I am a former pilot from way back. Flew Luscombe, Cessna's, T-Craft, owned a 1946 Aronca Chief, also a prop start, Beech, had a 182 on floats, flew in the Airforce, but gave it up 20 years ago. Used to fly the Aronca with ski's in NH in the winter. Had a 1000 runways when on ski's.

If your ever looking for a passenger, love to go up with you sometime.

Thank you, it's hard to believe that so much can be accomplished down here in such a short time. We sold our home up north and left here on 2/20 to empty out the house and load up a truck.
