I have Davis Vision Insurance. I know it is not the best, but I don't pay for it. Now that I live in The Villages full time, I need to find an eye doctor.

If you have Davis Vision, who do you use and would you recommend them?

I realize there are lots of great eye doctors in the area, but please only recommend those that participate in Davis Vision Insurance.

FWIW, with Davis Vision you can submit out-of-network claims.

Thank you. Your response forced me to go the the website and find the forms needed to file a claim. Since the form needs to be signed by the eye doctor, I'll make sure to take it with me to an appointment.

Thanks again!

Glad the info helped. Since it looks like you might go the out-of-network route, I just wanted to follow up with the fact that I've had some difficulties with that process...

They say they can accept no other method of submission other than paper forms through the mail. And then when I followed up with a phone call, they said it takes 2-3 weeks just to get the forms in the system so you can check on the status. I'm still very hopeful, because I like my opthamologist and he is out-of-network. But it looks like it could take a while. Just FYI. :)

We go to
Optometrist, Eye Doctor in Gainesville FL | Quinn Eye Center (http://quinneyecenter.com/)
The closest that accepts Davis directly.
Please post if you find another.

Depending on what your looking for,, I do believe that Walmart takes Davis Vision. I think some of my guys use Dr. Orr at Walmart on 466 for contacts glasses and such.
Not sure about eye surgery centers.
