View Full Version : Will the real Donald Trump Stand Up!

In his speech to Congress, we saw Trump as #WISCUS – Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing of the United States.
He was very carefully stage-managed and reigned in. In fact, we experienced perhaps the very first whiff of him acting “Presidential” (whatever that means).
I’m pleased that he finally spoke out against the rising tide of hate crimes.
I’m pleased that he pledged support for our war veterans.
I’m pleased that he acknowledged the ultimate sacrifice of Navy SEAL William "Ryan" Owens.
I’m pleased that he pledged support for major infrastructure rebuilding, which is long overdue.
All of the above said, the #WISCUS was on full display tonight:
He spoke of Women’s Health, while he seeks to dramatically curtail Public Health Programs.
He spoke of clean air and water, while he’s gutting the EPA and allowing coal-runoff into our rivers.
He spoke of the need for education, while he seeks to dramatically downscale the Dept. of Education and cut back on funding for the Arts and PBS.
He spoke of the need for the Parties to come together, wagging his finger on multiple occasions at the Democrats, while it was my fellow Republicans who sat on their hands for the past eight years and prevented anything from passing through Congress under Obama.
He spoke of tolerance and unity, while creating an agency called VOICE – Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement – that will single out crimes committed by immigrants and essentially ignore reporting upon the 99% of crimes that are committed by non-immigrants.
As an aside, I can only imagine how much taxpayer time he devoted to coming up with a word to represent the “E” in “VOICE”. I can picture the deliberations that took place:
Hair Fuhrer says “I’ve got it, ‘Abuse’. The word will be ‘Abuse’.” Dark Prince replies “The word has to start with an “E”, Mr. President”. Hair Fuhrer says “Oh, my bad”.
Let’s not allow the #WISCUS we saw tonight make us forget that this is the guy who:
Said he would release his taxes, and did not.
Said he would oppose the One China Policy, and did not.
Said he would finance his entire campaign himself, and did not.
Said he would prove that Obama was born elsewhere, and did not.
Said he would defeat ISIS within 30 days of taking office, and did not.
Said he would prove that there had been massive voter fraud, and did not.
Said he would divorce himself from his family’s business interests, and did not.
Said he would give away the proceeds from his hotel transactions while in office, and did not.
Said over and over again that he would make Mexico pay for his Great Wall, now never mentions it.
Said he was “open-minded on climate change”, now appoints the consummate denier to head the EPA.
Said he would repeal and replace Obamacare quickly and simultaneously, now says “nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated”.
Said that he knew more about how to fight terrorism than did our Generals, now blames the Generals for the botched Yemen raid that he himself authorized.
Many of the promises he made will very likely go that same route. By his own admission, he “plays to people’s fantasies” and uses “hyperbole” for the purpose of self-promotion.
Remember, we need to keep our attention squarely focused on “the money”.
“Follow the money”, and it will lead you to corporate tax reductions, a massive military buildup, and oil exploration and pipeline development deals that will line the pockets of the small cabal of billionaires and foreign interests in Trump’s orbit.
“Follow the money”, and it may take you on a round-trip flight on Trump Air all the way to Moscow and then back to the Oval Office…

Wow, and yet anyone that had good insight on Obie was called a racist. Go figure.

Hey leftards, Trump won and you lost. Wipe your eyes because no matter what you do now, you have to wait four years to do something about it. You should have worked this hard during the campaign.

As you little girls always like to say, "too bad, so sad." :a20:

I really doubt if Donald John Trump lasts more than a few more months. He has really stepped in the quicksand over the past week with the idiotic tweets about the Obama wire tap and the doubling-down done today.

And how do you suppose that the left will get rid of him? If you all would have worked this hard during the campaign, you might have won. You didn't and you didn't. Live with it like we had to live with the incompetence of Obama for 8 years. I am sure that you leftards can endure four years........maybe not.

The right and center will get rid of him once more decent people write their US Representatives and Senators with the greatness of this country in mind.

And President Obama was actually a pretty good President especially in comparison with the embarrassment which is Donald John Trump.

Pretty good at what? Did his golf swing improve? Did his stand up comedy act improve? Tell us something that he did that was adequate, let alone good.
He didn't get impeached because congress feared racial riots like those when MLK was killed.
