In the good old days the Soviet Union and what it stood for frightened America and the Free World. Now Americans toss around the influence of the FSB, FRU, and Wikileaks as if they were dealing with a bowl of alphabet soup.
This soup is being served up by Putin and his minions. The victim of this poisonous broth is America and its place in the world. Enjoy your "Last Supper", comrades!

"Shepard Smith Reporting,’ covered new revelations that former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn received $530,000 in 2016 for lobbying work done on behalf of the Turkish government. This week, Flynn retroactively registered with the Justice Department as a “foreign agent” because of this lobbying work. Flynn was fired in February for misleading the Vice President about contacts he had with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said yesterday that Trump was not aware that Flynn was acting as a foreign agent when he chose Flynn to become the national security advisor.

But Shepard Smith was not buying it. “The White House says, ‘Ah, he was a private citizen at the time.’ But there’s been a lot of lying,” Smith said. “There’s been lying about who you talk to, and by lots of people and almost inevitably and invariably, they were lying about talking to the Russians, about something. It’s too much lying and too much Russia and too much smoke. And now they’re investigating.”

But even if he has enemies in the press — and he does! — the main source of fake news in America isn’t the New York Times or the Washington Post or CNN. It’s the president himself. Let’s be kind and simply say he disseminates a lot of information that isn’t in the same zip code as the truth.

Making America Great again ???

"WASHINGTON — Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s first national security adviser, acted as a foreign agent representing the interests of Turkey’s government in exchange for more than $500,000 during last year’s campaign even as he was advising Mr. Trump, according to disclosure forms filed this week.

Mr. Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, was hired by a prominent Turkish-American with ties to the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has engaged in a widespread political crackdown after surviving a military coup attempt. Mr. Flynn was assigned to investigate Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish cleric who lives in Pennsylvania and was blamed by Mr. Erdogan for helping instigate the July putsch.

Trusted National Security Adviser

"WASHINGTON — Weeks before President Trump’s inauguration, his national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, discussed American sanctions against Russia, as well as areas of possible cooperation, with that country’s ambassador to the United States, according to current and former American officials.

Throughout the discussions, the message Mr. Flynn conveyed to the ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak — that the Obama administration was Moscow’s adversary and that relations with Russia would change under Mr. Trump — was unambiguous and highly inappropriate, the officials said.

The accounts of the conversations raise the prospect that Mr. Flynn violated a law against private citizens’ engaging in diplomacy, and directly contradict statements made by Trump advisers. They have said that Mr. Flynn spoke to Mr. Kislyak a few days after Christmas merely to arrange a phone call between President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and Mr. Trump after the inauguration.

Let's see...Trump refused to be vetted, then we have this kind of stuff.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Lawyers for retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told President Donald Trump's transition team before the inauguration that Flynn might need to register with the government as a foreign agent, but Trump was not aware of the possible move, the White House said Friday.

The disclosure by White House officials confirms the Trump transition team was aware of the situation involving the president's pick for a top national security post either before he joined the government or soon afterward.

But the White House's acknowledgement raised new questions about whether Trump's transition team, and later, his White House lawyers, fully vetted Flynn after being informed about his possible filing as a foreign agent for his lobbying during the presidential campaign that may have benefited the government of Turkey.

Trump transition knew Flynn might register as foreign agent (https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-team-told-flynn-might-register-182032375--politics.html)

During the campaign and during the transition, Flynn WAS ACTIVELY WORKING for the "government" of Turkey. ACTIVELY WORKING FOR TURKEY while advising President Elect.

To those posters who, with a yawn, say..so what...I suggest you read a bit about the collapsing Turkey government and its ties to terrorism. Having Flynn in the President elects ear is not making America safe.

Turkey = most terrorist attacks in last year

Turkey = collapsed government

Flynn and economy ?

Can you explain your meaning ?

Of course, Trump has economic ties in Turkey for sure.

WASN'T IT A TURK THAT WALKED UP AND SHOT A RUSSIAN DIPLOMAT? THINK FLYNN WILL MAKE IT TO THE HEARINGS ON THE 20TH?

IT WAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT MIKE PENCE WAS TOLD ABOUT FLYNN ON NOV 18TH. OUCH!!!!!!!:Screen_of_Death::Screen_of_Death:

The coverups always get ya.....

"In an interview with Fox News on Thursday night, Vice President Mike Pence said he was not aware either and that he only first heard about it as reports surfaced Thursday that Flynn had registered as a foreign agent with the Justice Department earlier this week.

Fox News' Bret Baier asked Pence whether he would have "had to fire Flynn anyway"— even if Flynn had not misled him about his conversations with Russia's ambassador to the US in December — because he was paid over $500,000 "to lobby, essentially, for Turkey" from August to November.

"Hearing that story today was the first I'd heard of it," Pence said, adding that he "fully" supported "the decision that President Trump made to ask for General Flynn's resignation."

BUT......

"But Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent Pence a letter on November 18 requesting more information about the potential conflicts of interest posed by Flynn's lobbying work.

Cummings sent the letter four days after both The Daily Caller and Politico reported that Flynn's consulting firm, Flynn Intel Group Inc., had been hired to lobby for Turkish interests.

"Recent news reports have revealed that Lt. Gen. Flynn was receiving classified briefings during the presidential campaign while his consulting firm, Flynn Intel Group, Inc., was being paid to lobby the U.S. Government on behalf of a foreign government's interests," Cummings wrote.

"Lt. Gen. Flynn's General Counsel and Principal, Robert Kelley, confirmed that they were hired by a foreign company to lobby for Turkish interests, stating: 'They want to keep posted on what we all want to be informed of: the present situation, the transition between President Obama and President-Elect Trump.' When asked whether the firm had been hired because of Lt. Gen. Flynn's close ties to President-elect Trump, Mr. Kelley responded, 'I hope so.'"

Pence's office did not respond to multiple requests for comment."

I understand and agree...to a point.

The issue being however, is that he/she tried to equate 'global economy'...with interference by another nation's government.

They're not even remotely, not even in Trump's alternative universe...similar.

Not even close.

IF they were in cahoots, and lots of "smoke" but we sure don't know if true.

We do know they tried to swing the election.

If you are looking for a reason, look simply at Ukraine, etc..their borders and how NATO is the only thing contains them from doing what they want. for me, that's the only reason.

Nuke war is a done deal...meaning that has little meaning in today's world.

Hell, with proper computer strength, they could just shut us down. The world has changed

The other reason on this side would simply to benefit Trump.

You don't KNOW any of that...you KNOW what someone decided to tell you...which often ISN'T the whole truth.

Several air bursts and the country is paralyzed. We could retaliate...and then EVERYONE is screwed. They KNOW this. I've heard the REAL nuclear deterrent is the nuking of the poles. That's what the "dead man" switch connects to. A "f@ck the world" last volley to the poles. Greenland and the Antarctic. Melt the ice and drown EVERYONE. EVERY major city would drown from the 50ft ocean rise the melted water would cause. The Great Flood...destroying arrogant mankind.

Because "Peter" said so? "Peter" wrote that...just plain Peter.

I'm not saying it's true...I'm telling you I heard it way back. The plan was to as a last action...nuke the poles, raise the sea level, flood just about every major city. Flooding out a lot of the worlds population. 20ft? 30ft? How much must it rise to effectively end the world economy?

WASHINGTON – White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was in the middle of his daily press briefing Thursday when an aide handed him a note that said, “You just committed a felony,” according to a senior White House official with knowledge of the note’s contents.

Spicer paused briefly after reading the note, then cleared his throat and continued with the briefing, taking a question from Jonathan Karl of ABC News.

The alleged felony the note referred to apparently centers around Spicer’s remarks during the briefing about an alleged Justice Department investigation into ties between President Trump, his campaign team and officials representing the Russian government. Spicer said the investigators have, “no evidence, zero.”

“I’m telling you they have nothing,” Spicer said in response to a question from Hallie Jackson of NBC News. The briefing was recorded and broadcast on several different networks and news sites. “I’ve seen what they have, I got hold of it, and they have nothing. They should quit while they’re ahead.”

It is illegal for a White House official to try to influence an investigation by the FBI or the Justice Department itself. It is unclear whether the investigation Spicer was referring to is happening on behalf of the FBI or the Justice Department itself, which has jurisdiction over the FBI.

No matter the specific agency in charge of the investigation, any investigation of the type that Spicer was apparently referring to is supposed to be conducted free of any White House influence. If Spicer did, in fact, ask for, and ultimately procure any information on an investigation into President Trump, he may well have broken the law simply by doing so. On top of that issue, there is the fact that he publicized the investigation, which is also against the law, as any such investigation is considered classified.

It is unclear which Spicer aide handed him the note, but according to the White House official we spoke to, the entire White House communications team was in shock when they heard Spicer admit communicating with the Justice Department official from the podium in the Brady Briefing Room of the White House.

“They were all blown away,” the official said. “I mean, they know he’s not the brightest bulb, but they didn’t think he was quite that dumb.”66659
