Would like your opinion about the latest craze.....lighted signs on lamp posts. Are they *legal?*

Since I don't see that well at night, I really appreciate the convenience of the lighted signs.

What's not to like? They are visible at night, but not too bright to bother the neighbors. Does this move your cheese?

There is a villa neighborhood south of 466A that has oval lighted address signs. It creates a nice ambiance.

Maybe that is what the OP is speaking of.

Someone show pictures so we can vote.

Redwitch is right as usual, lighted signs with names or house numbers on the light poles have been here for as long as I have anyway.

It's obvious that the OP has a problem with lighted lamp post signs (or a particular person that has one); otherwise he/she wouldn't refer to them as a "craze."

They are helpful, particularly when you are trying to find an address at night.

However, we all know what they look like, whether they be oval, square or rectangular. Take a vote? a VOTE? Huh?

You're right, really...a "vote?"

I think the lighted signs are actually quite nice and only wish that there were an easy way to do the same for house numbers (if it's not on the lighted lamp post)...thereby making it easier to locate a particular address at night.

There are solar address numbers, that are easy to read, we had one in 2007. Lasted about 6 years. Cost is around $14 to $19. Online at several places.
