Our foursome played early this morning in the 50 degree chill and 14 mph wind. I wondered if we were really in Florida. It was so chilly that even a polar bear woud be shivering.
Even though it was cold - and my shots were not good, it felt just great to be in The Villages instead of in Maine (where my daughter lives) or other snowy places and enjoying the camaraderie of golfing buddies.

Spoke to my son in NH today, said he had never seen it snow like that before. He loves the snow, but said this was too much too late.
The otherhalf golfed today and froze his you know what, and I went to Aldi's and the wind was awful. Still, at least, in Florida you know this is not going to last.

It was pretty chilly and windy playing today; reminds me of playing some late fall/early spring days in STL and KC.

I would have stayed home. There are too many good days to play here.

I agree, no way us 'whimps' would have played. There certainly has been some wind lately.
We played Havana (Kenya) Friday. Holes one thru five, I was a 'playa' again, hitting the ball with a favorable 'gale'.
Then we turned back into the gale, my rhythmic swing was exposed to be an illusion. For whatever reason, my brain thinks I have to swing faster and harder into the wind, even though I know from years of playing the opposite is true.
Oh well :)

On the cold days my joints really get sore but I'll play anyway.

The temperature is heading for the high 80s, even 90 forecast for April 7.
I'd rather play in cooler weather any day. Cool, not cold and windy :cold:

Never played well when it was cold!
I guess my brain couldn't forget how cold it was and never could concentrate. Almost like needing to go to the bathroom when working and couldn't stop at that point. :D

Everyone on this thread is TALKING about the weather, but no one is DOING anything about it!:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:
