Anyone believe anything that the CBO says? They do not have the best record for accuracy.

The SAME 17 intelligence agencies that got us into a war with Iraq? Them? The ones who didn't see 9-11 coming? Them?

According to a 2015 report from the Commonwealth Fund, the CBO overestimated enrollee total, but still offered projections closer to reality than four other forecasters (the Office of the Actuary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the RAND Corporation, the Urban Institute; and the Lewin Group).
Even the CBO released its own report in November 2015 that looked at how accurate their predictions have been, as well as what factors have contributed to forecasting errors.
On average, between 1982 and 2014, the CBO overestimated two-year revenue forecasts by 1.1 percent and six-year projections by about 5.3 percent.

Soooo.....lets look at what the Kaiser Family Foundation has estimated for a 60 year old man earning $50,000 per year. Under Obamacare his federal rebate program would have him pay an average of $6,000 per year for medical coverage. Under Trumpcare, his tax credit would be $4,000 to help him pay for health insurance that would cost him $15,000. So, would you rather pay $6,000 or $11,000? Of course, if you are 20, your Trumpcare tax credit would be $2,000 and you would possibly pay less than with Obamacare, but, with Trumpcare you now have a choice! Also with Trumpcare, the VERY RICH get a $197,000 tax break....why? can't they afford health insurance with the $4,000 tax credit? So, again the poor subsidise the rich, and the VERY POOR, THE DISABLED, AND CHILDREN have Medicaid cut drastically.

We should put you in charge, then everything would be perfect. Who sold the Iraq war, it was Bush's people, directed by cheney. Don't you remember the portable chemical warfare trucks running around.

"Why do conservatives want to repeal Obamacare?
Obama sought to permenantly increase the government's share of the economy to redistribute income and to reduce inequality. Obamacare was his spending wedge to force tax increases long after he left office. ....Obamacare was designed to expand over time, reaching deeper into the middle class and displacing ever more private health insurance. This private market decomposition has been slower than expected because the Obama Administration botched the job. but if Obamacare continues on its present trend the result will inevitably be higher levels of taxation across society.....
The CBO is not omniscient, but if its projections are even close to accurate then Obamacare repeal and replacement is the most significance government reform in perhaps three decades. Under conventional ( static-revenue) scoring , the bill cuts spending on net by $1.22 trillion and eliminates a raft of new taxes worth $883 billion through 2026...........
CBO shows the bill (GOP Health) is a far reaching advance for the market principles and limited government that conservatives usually favor....
If conservatives fumble this repeal and replacement moment, they won't get another chance. And they'll have squandered their best opening in a generation to control the size and scope of the federal Leviathan"

All you will ever need to know about Republicans...is wrapped up in the Trumpcare proposal.
Forbes Welcome (https://www.forbes.com/sites/anthonynitti/2017/03/13/gop-health-care-bill-will-result-in-a-huge-tax-cut-for-the-rich-24-million-without-insurance/#6ee7c06b6a2f)
- An $883 billion tax cut, $274 billion of it going to the richest 2%.
-$880 billion stripped from Medicaid.
- And 24 million fewer insured individuals over the next ten years.
Let me simply sum it up....
"Screw the poor (a high % which are minorities) and the old regarding their healthcare and make sure those who need it the least...get a tax cut."
And what is most amazing, is that most of these same people...tout their Christianity and supposed 'family values.'
Can there be more hypocrisy, selfishness...and Un-American ideals?
I think not. :ohdear:

Soooo.....lets look at what the Kaiser Family Foundation has estimated for a 60 year old man earning $50,000 per year. Under Obamacare his federal rebate program would have him pay an average of $6,000 per year for medical coverage.
Anybody in here 60 years old earning $50K a year? If so, are you getting healthcare for $6K a year??
Under Trumpcare, his tax credit would be $4,000 to help him pay for health insurance that would cost him $15,000. So, would you rather pay $6,000 or $11,000?
Where did you come up with $15K a year for insurance for a 60 year old? I am 53 and healthy, I pay $16,200 a year with Obammmacare...Trumpcare is sounding better already!
Of course, if you are 20, your Trumpcare tax credit would be $2,000 and you would possibly pay less than with Obamacare, but, with Trumpcare you now have a choice!
Fvck that - those young people should pay more for something they use less! Who cares if they are at the stage of life when they are having kids and buying homes...and there should be no choices given...fvck those kids, that's why we had em!
Please explain this tax break. Is it a tax deduction for being rich, as opposed to a tax credit for being poor? How much does a person need to have to be considered eligible (rich=assets and income)?

The CBO also assured us that Obamacare would decrease the deficit, just to point out one point of interest where they were wrong. The original theft from Medicare to subsidize Obiecare was also estimated at only going to cost us a couple billion, and it turned out to be almost a trillion dollar theft. The CBO states that it can only work with the figured provided them. So, the old saying of garbage in equals garbage out pertains.
