Throughout his campaign for president and since his election, Donald Trump has promised to reduce the size of government, cut taxes, eliminate regulations and slash numerous social programs, even as he boosts defense spending by billions.
One popular program facing elimination is “Meals On Wheels,” which uses federal funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to mobilize volunteers, businesses and donors to provide nutrition to thousands of senior citizens on a daily basis. It supports over 5,000 community-based organizations across America, reaching people in both urban and rural areas.
The money for Meals On Wheels is part of the Older American Act, first passed in 1965 as part of LBJ’s Great Society, and endorsed by every president until Trump. The total cost, which includes other programs, is about $2 billion a year, which is less than the government hands out in fossil fuel subsidies every year. Meals On Wheels costs about $3 million a year, which is the cost of one trip to his winter White House.

He sure seems to be trying to alienate seniors.

Gov't grants provide less than 4% of Meals On Wheels funding. Charity Report - Meals on Wheels Association of America - give.org (http://www.give.org/charity-reviews/national/elderly/meals-on-wheels-association-of-america-in-alexandria-va-3038)
Hardly worth worrying about me thinks.

While I do believe Snopes in that Meals On Wheels does not derive its primary funding from the feds, your statement about whom actually 'feasts on false news'...is frigging hilarious. :1rotfl:
Made all the more humorous, by ignorant and hypocritical Trump cultists like yourself, who have no problem with the blatant lies constantly being put out by the most powerful person in the world and who is so totally divorced from the truth and reality...that his actual sanity has to be questioned.

Wrong, I don't insist he's satan, he is. Make up lies, you need to look in the mirror.

You are actually correct in one respect.
Chump, in less than two months as POTUS, has put forth so many blatant, serious lies...that this is but a small issue. :ohdear:
When your own elected party members are shaking their heads at the pure idiocy of the POTUS' false proclamations...you really should get a clue.
But hey, I understand that won't happen with Trump's cultists, even as the rest of the civilized world's leaders...are questioning if they can believe anything that this White House says.

It's Satan with a capital letter. Get it right, dummy. And if you libtards don't believe in GOD, then why would you believe there is a Satan? Did I confuse you? Think about it, but don't work too hard on it. I would not wish you to have a brain aneurysm. :22yikes:

Maybe YOU should do some reading other than your liberal talking points.

President Trump’s foes and many journalists tend to “jump into [his] every utterance and decision with . . . the dial turned up to 11,” (https://www.forbes.com/sites/eriksherman/2017/03/16/liberals-stop-saying-that-trump-will-kill-meals-on-wheels/#3168751e3395) notes Erik Sherman at Forbes. And “a clear example” is the growing claim that his budget “would kill Meals on Wheels.” That’s “factually incorrect,” since only “approximately 3.3 percent of [the national group’s] funding comes from government sources.” Most, in fact, “is from corporate and foundation grants, with individual contributions the second largest source.” Local MOW groups do rely much more on federal funding — but it comes from programs that Trump’s budget doesn’t cut. “Resorting to hysteria is dangerous,” Sherman says, “and that is [what’s] happening.”

Since I never made a single post about Chump being the one to fully eliminate this program...I wasn't wrong about anything. ;)
Nice try at trying to wriggle out from being constantly eviscerated by me though. :D

"After this weekend, Trump will have already spent about $16.5 million on trips to Mar-a-Lago. For that amount, Meals on Wheels could feed 5,967 seniors for a year and after school programs could feed 114,583 children for a year."

Meals on Wheels seems to be getting a lot of donations thanks to Herr DRUMPF.

Please show me some facts that suggest that Trump plans to "END" Meals on Wheels. Cutting the budget as promised will mean that someone will not be happy. If Meals on Wheels gets only about 3% of it's funding from the Feds, then I doubt TRUMP intends to "END" the program. More liberal hysteria. Come on libtards, make the discussion challenging. YOu are too easy. Did you all lose your ability to discuss, when you lost your criminal candidate?

Would a libtard please show proof that TRUMP stated that he wished to "end meals on wheels?" If you are going to make a statement that he has a plan to end MOW, then please show where he said he had a plan to do that. Show us his intention, his goal.....his plan. Otherwise, try to get your information accurate. If you wish to suggest that Trump's budget cuts may be enough to jeopardize MOW solvency, fine. But, do not make statements that if coming from TRUMP, liberals would call "lies." Anything he says, you claim to be lies. Anything the liberal media distorts and blatantly misquotes, is given a pass.
