They have 2 tables that hold 6 for dinner. I have had lunch twice and dinner 4or 5 times. All the meals were excellent and the service is great. Their meat is excellent and they have amazing soup. Our new favorite place close to TV.

We had dinner there last night, after previously having lunch there. Meals were again outstanding, duck for me and rack of lamb for my wife. Service was great and believe it or not, the Banana Cream Pie was still fabulous!!

Made our dinner reservation - arrived a little early and were seated immediately. Dinner was great for our table of six.
Everyone raved about their choices and our server had a wonderful, outgoing personality. Probably the best I've seen in and around The Villages in our 17 years.
Can't wait to return for lunch for my gal pals.

Lunch is WONDERFUL. We had so much fun, we found lunch to be mainly women enjoying themselves.

We had lunch there Saturday. Great looking old house with rose garden in front and lake in back. No wait at noon . Sat outside as it was a beautiful day. Had the pasta primavera and the prime rib sandwich . Banana cream pie for dessert. All were very good. Prompt , attentive service by Matt . Prices a bit more than Villagers might be used to , but well worth it. It will be a regular place for us.

Lunch outside two weeks ago was great. .
Update.....went here for dinner last Saturday night with four friends. Room was very noisy, food bland . Waited 1 and 1/2 hours for entree.
Not a good experience. Return in doubt.

This was relayed to me my gentleman who went to the Rose with a lady friend--As their table was being cleared the bus person knocked over a glass of wine and the wine was spilled over the lady's dress==NO, effort to compensate for the mishap--either comp a portion of the meal or pay cleaning expense

That does not bode well.

Only if they plan on spilling a lot of wine....certainly nothing to be concerned about.

Mr Chatbrat, I believe you were the one who originally started the thread on The Rose Plantation. You were correct it was really very nice and the best meal we have had out of our home since we departed NJ. We were seated immediately and the service was as if we were the only ones there. The entire setup was spotless and the place was packed.
Good job Sir. Bravo!

the # 1, place to dine in the area--feel like I'm back in Chatham, Madison,Summit, Mendham & Chester NJ--towns with few if any chain restaurants and beautiful country inns and great neighborhood dining facilities

Agreed, on a recent trip back to NJ we went up to Florham Park to go to the Afton Inn, Gonzo, that the kind of restaurant that would have fit in perfectly here. New York Tea Garden in Morristown gone. Glad we're here.
