Getting ready for a NCAA basketball party but will be checking just to see how the posters on here react.
Nothing to gloat about for me at all.
I do not/did not like Obama care.
I naively thought a good move would be to work together and fix, if possible Obama care.
I guess it is now evident that the country comes second to Republican party. Could have fixed it but......
Not a surprise about Trump.....he failed in all ways when he made accusations publicly and with great malice toward so many people AND countries since becoming President.
How do we ever believe this person ?
AS I keep saying....unless he can pull JOBS out of somewhere (tax reform will be all about HIM), he will continue to be the most colossal failure of all time. In addition to destroying the Republican party; Democrats, unless those JOBS come to be, will have he control of everything for years to come

Yes, it IS the blame of the Dems as well as part of the Repubs. Schumer said he will not allow anyone to vote for anything. Not the judge, not the Health Care bill, or anything. Of course, this will come back and bite the Dems in the butt more than the Republicans because Obamacare WILL fail and they own it. They could have been adult and participated. The Republicans did NOT lock them out of the bill creation, like the left did to them in 2009.
Before you say there is nothing that they can agree on in the new bill, go back and read it. You can download it. It's only 122 pages long, so you should be able to get through it in a short time. THEN come back and talk about it.

That is a pretty stupid thing to say. You haven't even read the bill they planned to vote on, and you are running your mouth. It's only 122 pages long so when you are not wasting your time on here or running your mouth like a fool, you could actually educate yourself to what you are babbling about.
Blaming the Republicans? Only a stupid Democrat would say such a ludicrous thing. Yes, the Repubs could have passed it without the Dems, if they had total support of their own party. The Dems could have voted for it and it would have been passed also, without the REpubs that said they would not vote on it.
Obamacare is now going to fail and the left is going to own it, like they should. Too bad the country is going to have to suffer because of politics and egos. This is NOT Trump's fault. He worked with congress and had a plan that everyone should have liked. After all, much of Obiecare is in it. The viable parts. But, many egos were involved as well as stupidity. No one seems to understand the term reconciliation and how it pretains to the issue.
Anyway, just keep talking liberal talking points and insisting that you are really a Republican. Only another liberal will believe that.
Obamacare is on it's way out, either way. Too bad it will take a bunch of folks with it. Obama didn't care about the people, any more than people like Schumer or Pelosi. Funny thing is that Trump is probably the only one in D.C. that actually cares enough to sacrifice his time and money to take this job.
Moving on to tax reform. Too bad the Dems and Repubs could not work together. I guess the Dems have been totally controlled by the socialists now. And the group of strict conservatives in the Republican congress don't think that the rest of the Republicans are conservative enough, so they won't play well.
Time for the Nuclear option where it can work. Otherwise, there will be four years of nothing getting done. Schumer is still crying that they lost control of our gov. He has just enough power to be a hindrance.

You are absolutely correct, the Dems are hypocrites. It they would have read the new bill, that could have saved our health care system, they would have seen that a lot of the decent parts of Obiecare was in it. The Dems would have been voting against what they originally passed in Obiecare. It's not Trump's fault. It's the Dems for not even wanting to get involved. They just wanted to save their egos by going back over the FLAWED Obiecare and making changes to it. We all know they wanted it to fail and planned it that way so that they could get their single payer socialist health system going. Yep, they are hypocrites. And part of the Repubs were too. They said that it was not conservative enough.
Anyway, it doesn't matter now. Obiecare will fail sometime maybe in the summer and it will be totally owned by the Dems. Can't blame Trump. He did what he said he would do. He produced a save, and the petulant crybabies in congress let their egos get in the way.
Moving on to tax reform and other things, like immigration reform and national security. Trump is smart. He learned to cut his losses and move on. That's why he is a billionaire. He doesn't need this job. But, he cares more for America than anyone else in congress.

Not one democrat would vote for this bill or the good of the country. Not one democrat would put the American people ahead of the party leadership.
This was nothing but a political vote and the democrats will pay for it eventually. We are now stuck with Obamacare for a while and it will implode soon. Premiums will rise, deductibles will rise, co pays will rise and coverage will shrink. When people can no longer get the medical services that they need they should blame the democrats.
Of course the democrats will try to find some way to blame the republicans for not fixing their failed bill but most of the American people will see through that.

the new bill was garbage, and those republicans who voted for it were doing so to spite obama. The republican bill would have cost americans huge amounts of money, given tax relief to the very rich (as if they really need it) and only morons compare the number of pages....

Dear guest:
Good post. That is how I view this event
Actually the only adult in the room was Trump. He made a gutsy move by asking that the bill be pulled. These are signs of a serious man who truly wants change that benefits ordinary people.
Schumer and Pelosi are leading their party down a primrose path. Essentially what they are saying and doing is to sabotage Trump with political resistance and fake innuendo. Notice its to punish Trump, but in seeking their hate missiles on Trump they damage the nation.
The Republicans are also heading for disaster if they don't re-group and learn that legislating means making compromises. This is especially true for the Freedom Caucasus.
Notice what AARP did again. They are not motivated to do what is best for seniors but what is in their best financial interests.
Failure is the only way people learn . The Republicans will regroup and the Health bill will get enacted before Trump's first 4 years are complete and Republicans won't do so by saying "we have to pass it to see what's in it."
In the meantime why would any serious citizen applaud a Congress that can't work toward solution to this nation's problems and especially those who intentional assume the role of keystone kops?

Me too. What is repeal and replace - is that not just modified Obama Care ? The horse has left the barn. Repeal is what the insurance companies want now. For the last year over and over Arizona has a 116% rate increase while many other states have double digit increases. Now along comes the fix with a projected savings of 10%. Why would a sane person declare that the right way to go ? I'm glad the vote was not held.
1. Keep the good parts like no top stops, 26 yr old coverage and no refusal of existing conditions
2 Get rid of the pork - yea it's in there - just look
Now you have to make it competitive
3. Insurance companies compete across state lines
4. Limit the deductible to a reasonable level. Let's stop trying to disguise the true astronomical price that the insurance really is.
5. One Federal run exchange - same rules for every state - no opting in or out - same Medicaid rules - etc.
Rather you like Obama Care or not it's too late to go back. The damage is done. And if you say it can then I say you are on Medicare (and like it) and don't give a care about the rest of America. How would you like a $10000 deductible for Medicare ? I say if you repeal Obama Care rather then fix it the insurance companies will target supplemental and advantage plans next.

You are absolutely correct, the REPUBLICANS are hypocrites. If they would have read the new bill, that could have seen that it would do nothing to save our health care system, but rather give the UBER RICH a huge tax break and put 24 million Americans out of health insurance even if the decent parts of AHA was in it. The REPUBLICANS never voted for what was originally passed in AHAIt's both Trump's fault and the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS' FAULT. It's the REPUBLICANS for not even considering how this bill would harm Americans. They just wanted to save their egos by going AGAINST ANYTHING THAT OBAMA HAD PASSED. We should all know that the only solution is a single payer health system going. Yep, they are hypocrites.
Anyway, it doesn't matter now, because the petulant crybabies in congress let their egos get in the way.
