Saying Hello and Introducing Myself

We are actually not new in TV as we have been here full time since 2002.
But I just recently found this friendly forum and look forward to spending time here. Hope that now and then, I can put in some helpful information or ask a question or so.
The one thing I can say to all those who have been looking to make a home in TV is that it really is as it seems-the friendliest hometown.
We had looked at many over-55 communities throughout Florida looking for our retirement home for at least 4 years. We fell in love with TV the second day of our lifestyles visit and haven't changed our hearts since then. Sure, there are pros and cons like everywhere, but the pros so outweigh.

If it werent for finding this place, I am sure I would have never had the nerve to venture to TV on my own. I have gathered all the research I needed here and made wonderful friends!

Gadaboutgal, you are so right. It really is the friendliest place. Monday night I went to Havana CC by myself to listen to Patrick's music, and 2 couples insisted I join their table to join in on their fun. Where else would you feel safe enough to do that or that it would even happen. This is a GREAT PLACE!!! We're looking forward to your posts. Thanks for joining us. Come to the TOTV lunches which are held the 3rd Friday of every month at Crispers on 466. Hope to see you at the next one on Aug. 21.

Welcome to TOTV - great forum for information and friendships. We have been very lucky to meet wonderful people who made us feel right at home when we were buying. Now that we are here full time, we have found they are just the best people. We look forward to meeting you at some point.

JoAnn & I are leaving Thursday AM for our new home in TV. Can't wait to meet all the great people I've chatted with. This TOTV is really a great site.The information and opinions are very helpful. One question though what do you do with all the boxes when you unpack? Is there a certain paper collection day or what??The last time we were down we rented a villa and just put the garbage bags by the curb.

Moving boxes can go out on your recycle day....in most of the newer sections this is Friday, but, do check with your neighbors to be sure. You do need to break the boxes down so that they are flat.

Hi Skip and Joann, welcome to TV. You are going to love it. I looked at previous posts and I think you bought on Heath Springs in Bonita....
