Unless their system has changed the original sales rep that you worked with will still get a piece of the pie.

Tarrant Potter is the best agent I've ever worked with anywhere. He makes sure your home will face the best direction for the hot Florida sun, considers the traffic pattern car head lights etc., very knowledgeable about upgrades and getting the best value for your money. Never!!! pushy, always returns calls, never avoids any questions. Simply the best :eclipsee_gold_cup:

I have read posts like these several times over the last couple years...never have seen a reference to our representative...her name is Mitzi Terry. Has anyone worked with her? Tell me your impressions - she has been very nice to us each time we have stopped by (usually on the way to visit family).

Thanks

Two guys that have really impressed me are Rhod Soutar (very patient and truly listens to what you want) and Joe Constentino (happy to show you both preowned and new). Both of these gentlemen seem to go out of their way to make sure you get to look at what YOU want rather than what the sales office wants you to look at. Another plus to both of these men is that they'll happily work with you year after year until you find the perfect house at the right time for you. I know that Rhod has worked with one client for 5 years before the client finally purchased. Joe took one client out for at least 15 visits over 3 years and was pleased when the client finally purchased a place on the historic side for less than $100K. Both also know TV and their stuff. To me, these are the kind of agents you want to work with.

Besides the many good sales people who work the for the villages, there are many good realtors in the villages who sell resales. If you are looking for a good deal a resale may be what you want. The villages sales people are not the only ones who sell pre-owned homes in the villages. Many resales are in the MLS listing and the villages sales people don't show those houses. So if you are interested in a resale I recommend Karol Clark at Prestige Properties Realty. She can be reached at 352-255-7993, or karol@presprop.com.

Has anyone used Jack Skully? He is our Rep...Of course we can't buy yet...seems to be really good....loves to take the time to help you buy and pick out from lot to finish. Not just the predone homes..like many of the reps. Of course that takes more time for him.

Also he is quite the character...you can see him on the commercials for TV...he's leaning looking over the balcony and kisses his wife...

I have to put in a plug for ours, Nanette Tolleson. She went as we say in the Army, "Above and beyond what is usually done or required" for us. Truthfully, if it not for some of the things she helped us with, we would still be wannabes!

Hi Jmemc46,

Debra Park was our Sales Agent. She is a very good listener and once we had decided what we wanted in a home that is exactly what she showed us. I recommended her to several others and they have also had good experiences with Debra and ended up buying homes in TV. I highly recommend her.

Good luck and welcome to Paradise!

We have used Debra Park three times in TV and find her to be well informed and always on the job. I was raised in a real estate family and can honestly say the she must be the hardest working representative I have ever met. And, she throws the best 50's parties for her many clients.

We used a MLS agent who helped us get a home in TV and one outside in between January and October this year. we're working on a third home and a commercial plot just outside and they're working diligently to earn our business. A second agent got us a ranch home in TV for my sister, only to have her bail out so we are renting that one.
Another couple from 'up north ' here in Maryland used them as well.
In our two resale purchases we were about to plunk down close to asking, but their suggestion was to come in much lower and the Premier came in for about 15% below.

now's the time to make your purchase, we just hope we can break the ties up here and get moving soon

we and the other couple are moving up our moving goals more and more with each visit

:agree: Ditto, ditto and ditto Bare! Debra Parks is the absolute best realtor I have ever met. Extremely professional, very knowledgable about all aspects of TV, works very hard to find the home with what you are looking for in a home, and things you arent looking for. No wonder I bought so fast as Debra knew exactly what I wanted in a home. I highly recommend Debra , I assure you will not be disappointed.

I went on the Lifestyle Tour in October with Rhod Souter. He was very knowledgeable. But out of curiosity, has anyone looked at the "Stone Crest" 55 and older Development right near "Spanish Springs"? It does not have as many clubs, but there is no $20,000.00 Bond and the HOA Dues are quite a bit more economical. Did anyone else look at other communities before they bought in TV?

We have friends in StoneCrest. They have A golf course and A restaurant. It is a development that I think is built out. The homes I saw were older and they didn't have the " deed restrictions" we have in The Villages.

I know our friends come to The Villages for restaurants and to play cards and shuffleboard.

It is like ONE village kind of, but I don't think that it is near as nice.

No comparison for me, anyway.

Jeannie.

I am not sure of my facts on this, but it looked like they did not have any new building going on. That they may have used up the space they had..and were finished enlarging the development, which is what built out means.

But...I am not sure. I bet someone knows.

Gracie,

There was a thread on TOTV last week about limiting vistors that raised issues on local people using TV amenities.

Pertaining to those concerns, "How do these non-TV Residents play cards and shuffleboard here?"

I feel like I get badged every time I use the amenities here.

I know - I know!

Stonecrest is about 60% built out 1800 units of 3200 (or there abouts). New homes going in at the north side.

Gracie, we visited Stone Creek in October when we went for our Lifestyle tour of TV. We took a look around at other developments. Stone Creek is building a new section called "North Valley". We are visiting again in June, 2010 just to see what has gone up, is being built, etc. before we make up our minds. I have until the end of 2010 when I am retiring. Thanks again for your input ~ all your threads seem to be so full of wisdom. If you hear of anything more with Stone Creek, please let me know. Jeannie

I agree with dgammon6. Justin Wilson is a great realtor and was so very patient with us. It took us forever to select a home from preowns and new. Just stays in touch and even treats his clients to a movie at Mill Run once a year. He must rent the theater. We are all there with free popcorn etc. He has a lovely family he always brings to the theater outings.

I have been to TV on 2 Life Style Previews and was assigned to Mo Cook. She pushed really hard on new construction and wasn't interested in showing resales that I had requested from the inventory available. Also, I never hear from her. I will be back again in May and would like to look at some VLS properties and will try to request a different agent. I've heard that Lyle Gant is an excellent source for MLS listings.

We were initially assigned Mo Cook also. At first her follow up etc. was very good and then dropped off considerably. This was at the height of the boom a couple of years ago, maybe the reps were unsually busy at that time.

Anyone know a former rep named Greg Hudek? We made a spur of the moment visit to TV about 6 years ago and he showed us around. Nice young man. I think I heard that he went into management in some capacity. If so, I can see why.

Debra Parks has been wonderful!! We are still waiting to retire to T.V.; but when we visited to see T.V. for the first time, she was so attentive to our needs during our stay. We recommended her to my brother who bought a house, then bought another to rent. She made all the transactions go as smoothe as possible from Long Island to T.V.

We were assigned to Julia when we made our first lifestyle visit in June of 2008. She spent considerable time with us in 2009 when we rented for 3 months. She is very knowledgeable and a wonderful "listener". Julia helped us find and secure our lot in late 2009. She was especially helpful in assisting us with the design of our new house in Pennecamp. We have already recommended Julia to others and will always be grateful to her for her wonderful professionalism and assistance.

Quick Story ~ The night before we where going to take a 800 miles trip up north to visit family I discovered my car needed to have a serpentine belt replaced & other minor repairs. I contacted Julia Powell Fleming our real estate agent with The Villages Real Estate. She was at a Justin Timberlake Concert in Orlando. She contacted me and set up a repair for us in the morning so we could leave on our trip. She did a great job finding us our new home and has continued to assist us after the closing. She is competent, honest, reliable and we consider her a friend. If you are thinking of buying or selling a home in The Villages I would give her a call.

Most Villages real estate salespeople are good, as you can see by the above recommendations. I am a former realtor and I would higHly recommend Tony Trussler. Tony is low-key but very thorough and delight to deal with. If you want to explore MLS listings for pre-owned homes I would highly recommend Lyle Gant. Lyle is a TOTV poster and a great guy and has a terrific website. I would love to see one of these gentlemen rewarded for the many hours they have spent with, and for us, with ,as yet, no results. I think the best VLS sales rep, is the one you feel you have chemistry with, and can ask any questions that come to your mind, without hesitation, or fear, that you are bothering them, too much!!

You also need a MLS sales rep and I recommend Linda Sears who works with John Mello. Phone number 352.205.0713.

I know they are patient because they had to deal with me, and my million questions. Just ask, they will tell you.

They guided me thru the process, and are wonderful. I was a handfull. :D

Matt Clark was our rep and would use him again if the need ever arises. He did a superb job in guiding our absentee buying process. He sent pictures, worked through an express mail process and coordinated viewings with a third party friend of ours. He's also one who definitely doesn't forget his clients. After sales he has given us gifts of thanks and he has even held thank you parties at rec centers for his clients. Apparently he's been so successful that he has even obtained an assistant to help handle the load. I think anyone that has Matt as a rep is a lucky client!
