My wife Lisa and I are also new homeowners. We closed on a home on Beaulieu Loop and will be coming down for the winter at the end of October and staying thru April. We both love to golf, and are looking forward to spending alot of time with our neighbors. I am an avid Packer fan, so I hope there are a few retired Cheeseheads in the neighborhood as well. If not, that's ok too. 2 mths to go. See ya soon.

Hi folks,
I also bought in Amelia. Plan on moving down around Oct. 20. Even though I live in Mass. I've been a Giants fan since I was 10 years old. Sounds like TV is going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait to leave this cold weather behind. I was wondering if there is any NHL coverage there. I am really going to miss watching Bruins hockey. I heard Comcast has a sports package for $5.00 that has the NHL network in it. Hope to meet lots of people when I get there.

Hi Conn8757, We have just built a home on Devonshire Way and are moving there on October 29. We are moving from New Castle, Pa. and can't wait to get there. Spent the month of March in Hadley and really loved it. My brother just moved to village of Bonita in July. We have several other friends there. Looking forward to meeting our new neighbors soon.

That is so nice to know. I bought on Harston and Pixie and I can't see the progress of the house until we actually get there. Our realtor is arranging for pictures to be taken. I live in snow/north country and will enjoy the weather in the winter. Not sure YET about the summer.

John,

As folks who spend not enough time in Port Clyde, welcome. We would welcome you louder except or that bit about the Giants (can you sing "Oh, when the Saints, come marching in..._ and Jets (what is that about?)

I lived in southwestern CT all my life until 2007 and worked 24 years in Manhattan. Being a Giants and Jets fan is a given then. I was also a Brooklyn Dodger fan, until they moved, so becoming a Mets fan and loathing the Yankees is also natural. When I moved down east I added the Patriots and the Red Sox, except when they play the Mets (I was at game 6 of the World Series in 1986 ).

However, being a Mets and Jets fan the last couple of years has been frustrating.:rant-rave: Maybe I'll pull for the Saints. :D

John,

Hope to meet you when you are in TV. We will be in Maine for a bit over the holidays and again next August. Once we retire we plan to spend more time in Maine. I miss the coast as we were 1/3 mile from LI Sound in Conn. Our roots are both in Mass (plus Maine for the hubs) - we are Pats and Sox fans through and through. I was actually tempted to see what it would cost to see the Pats play Tampa Bay this week - in the UK!

Ah! Branford, Conn, The Thimbles. I spent many a night there on my dad's boat ... see my avatar. I lived most of my life on LI Sound in Darien.
