Shooters World TV Location?

I saw an ad on the online newspaper stating...Shooters World Coming Soon to The Villages.

I've been hearing this for months...any idea on location?

There is suppose to be an indoor shooting range built in the development on 466A just west of Buena Vista across from Pinellas plaza. Now if this will be Shooters World I haven't heard, but hope so.

Probably the 'News' section of the Barclay Group's website will have an update in the near future. From driving down 466A today, it appears the initial excavation work that began last August has finally ended. The lines and arrows are painted in the turn lanes and today only finishing touches were being done, such as watering the dirt off the highway. There does appear to be one small backhole digging a hole in the median closest to BV, that appears to be for a street light.

I have seen a sign on 441 announcing a new range, but don't recall a name.

There is a sign for a Basics Gun Range & Store coming soon on 441 near the Orange Barn. But no sign of construction.

Ground will be broken before the first of the year for a new gun range and store in The Villages.

Shooters World, which operates a store and gun range in Tampa, is set to build a golf-cart accessible facility here in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.

There is a sign for a Basics Gun Range & Store coming soon on 441 near the Orange Barn. But no sign of construction.

Basics Gun and Range of Orange Park went before the Lady Lake City Council about a year ago with a proposal for a place on 12 acres. They were given the approval, I think it was a vote of 4 to 1. Since then the owner has sort of backed out, he has on his Facebook page that he is searching for a partner and will give a 30% return on your investment. Scroll down the middle column of link below. That happened after Shooter's World made their announcement, so maybe they got cold feet of going alone.

Also...Shooters World was/is supposed to be golf cart accessible. Are the new Lowes and Aldi golf cart accessible?

I have been to Shooters World in Tampa. Here is what I was told by the manager. All has been approved but he is not permitted to announce the location. That must come from the Villages per the agreement. He was allowed to say that it will be centrally located and golf cart accessible.

Excellent advice. It could also be helpful on the links with some large gators walking around. (I'm not casting aspersions on grads of a certain FL university.)

I am sure that there is some way to find if a Sumter County business license has been applied for. And for something like a shooting range, I'm sure that some sort of land use approval must have been granted. Does anyone have any idea of how to research this? It should all be public record.

The only three things they will tell us about the location of the Shooter's World are:
1) It will be in Sumter County
2) It will be centrally located in The Villages
3) It will be golf cart accessible

I can't help feeling that the public records exist, I just don't know where to search for them.
