It's a boy!!!

I am so pleased to announce that my beautiful grandson, Aaron Thomas, was born July 23, 2009 at 3:49 pm. He came out beautiful (of course), weighing in at 9 lbs. 4 oz., 21 inches long with a FULL head of hair.

Mother and child are doing super -- he's already beginning to focus on faces and sounds and holding his head up (prefers to lay on his tummy and peer at the world like a mini-ostrich).

For those who know me, please don't have a heart attack because I'm gushing about Aaron -- just say I told you so when you see me. I'll accept it graciously.

If I can ever find the time, I'll post some pics.

YES she is gushing...I was talking to her on the phone one day while she was babysitting the little guy, and I could definitly tell....grammy's in love:):) We have 5 grands of our own and there is nothing like it!!!! Congratulations Dee!

Your heart must be filled with so much joy and love!!
I have a sister in law who is never wrong, she is a few years ahead of me and always gave me little tips here and there about what to expect in mothering etc. She knows what a mush I am concerning my son, worrying, loving, spoiling lol etc. And she has told me that "if you think you love and worry about your son....just wait till you have a grandchild...its a feeling that I cant even describe"! So I am really looking forward to that experience too, minus the worrying part lol. Enjoy your beautiful new grandson!

P.S. Islandgal, I laughed so hard at your post, because that was exactly what I was thinking lol "being christened with a shot while changing diapers" lol...happened to me many many times hehe!!
