We have an extended garage and we have two mid size cars, on golf cart and a Harley. Everything fits, but it is tight. I am sorry we did not buy a house with a golf cart garage, but we are making do.

Why two cars?

We have a gardenia. We have installed lots of wall cabinets, additional plywood in attic and a metal 5x5 storage rack that hangs from the ceiling . As far a vehicles, we have a mid size car, a motorcycle, and a golf cart. We leave or second car in the driveway. We too wish we had a golf cart garage.

You ask why 2 cars? You sound like my husband. I am just not ready to give one up. I work part time and need to make certain I always have a vehicle. My husband usually uses the motorcycle or golf cart. His car is hardly moved so it does seem silly. In a couple years when we are 60 I will give in.

We have a Gardenia (stretched) with a golf cart garage. One of the smarter thing I did when we came here. I have a workshop, extra storage, and I can fit in a golf cart, a Ford Edge, and a Subaru Wagon. Most fully retired folk don't need two cars..most we know have gotten rid of the second car and bought a second cart. :beer3:

Work with your agent. Our neighbors almost bought a house but their large car would not fit. Some garages are bigger than others. I am glad as they are now my neighbors.
