NEVER did I think I would see ordinary middle class Americans, the folks who now or will be paying for all this crap being proposed in Washington labeled "angry mobs" and "radical right wing extremists" when they show up to a PUBLIC Town Hall meeting held by Reps and Senators in their districts to get the pulse of their constituents (read "bosses).

The health care proposal has hit a nerve....perhaps it's the final straw, anyway, people are MAD AS HELL.

Thinking folk are rightfully concerned about the craziness going on in our nation's capital and are hoping to get their message to the people who are voting on this stuff who are otherwise completely disconnected from reality.

Many of these Reps and Senators have NO IDEA what is in this bill.

To have voters who are so frustrated with these shenanigans labeled as anything other than "concerned citizens" is an outright insult and very dangerous for our country. Obama's statement that he "doesn't want to hear any comments from the people who broke the system" really bothers me. Just who does he think these "people" are? It's certainly NOT the general public.

We are quickly sliding down a very slippery slope to a tyranny that none of uswant. Obama realizes that if he doesn't ram health care through in the next few weeks, the glow will be off the rose and his chances will get slimmer and slimmer as time passes.

Congress must think we are all stupid to believe that an issue as complex as health care can be re-vamped virtually overnight in a few committee meetings. It is not us that's stupid.

I have taken the time to read parts of the actual bill. It's scary and I want no part of it including the national data center, i.d. card, bureaucratic decision making for health choices etc.. do you? But forget all that, we simply CAN'T AFFORD IT!!!!!!!!!!

We need to keep up the pressure on Congress to put on the brakes and get a grip on themselves. The crazy spending has got to stop....NOW!!

I have just written to ALL Florida Reps and Senators and advised them that if they vote FOR the Health Care Bill I will make every effort that I can to see that they are not re-elected to their office. '

Hmm....wonder why Martinez is baling from the Senate? Perhaps it's getting to hot in the kitchen.

I know I don't follow these things nearly as well as I should but I've been seeing a lot of chatter both in the news and in these threads regarding recent congressional activities. I wish to address the spending of a gazillion dollars buying themselves a fleet of fancy airplanes.
I think they should cancel the planes and take the train.
Lawd knows Amtrak could use the money. AND it would give them ample time to read all these fool spending bills they are hellbent on passing. Just my opinion.

The Chicago Democratic convention.... well, we're now IN our 60's... and still outspoken. Glenn Beck has been predicting this for a year.

when the "angry Iranians" decided to protest". I am just kidding, but at some point the comparison begins to take on a similar, let's be polite, and call it appearance/feel!

Obama tells his supporters to get in the oppositions face with their beliefs....that must be OK. Now, contrary to the media and the WH random groups of "angry Americans" who are doing just that are labeled an orchestrated mob.

My concern is the advantage the Obama administration has with the media, being able to portray anything the way the want to affect what they are peddaling. Like incumbents, the media needs a CHANGE.

I am an over 70 senior who is happy with life, including health care. And I do not believe ANY agenda that puts this country deeper in debt, that takes away from the majority what they already have and earned, and will be happy to be in any face that tries to lie about what the real result will be.

I am proud to be recognized as an angry American....and for the party blind....there are as many senior Dems who feel the same way.

Stand and be counted. I aspire to have one of my emails reported to the WH.

Stand up to be counted and let our senators and reps know how we feel it will make difference. A state rep in Mass. once told me that 5 letters on an issue was noteworthy and made them take notice. How bad is that! We can generate many more than that!! Maybe they'll begin to get the message. More than the money tghey want the votes. No vote, no money or graft. We've got to get with the program.
