Hi all,
I will be moving to TV soon and I was wonder if they have a RC boat club? Do they have fast boats or cabin cruisers?
Thanks

The Villages RC Model Sail Boat Club - Home (http://tvrcboatclub.weebly.com/)
Fast Electric RC Boat Club (http://castawaysboatworx.club/)
Here are links to two of them. They operate at two different lakes. There are over 2000 clubs in TV, so just about anything you can think of, has already been organized.

Wait until you get to see them in action. Like a bunch of teenagers with unlimited funds. They are skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly and immediately welcome you to join them.
They have several ways of retrieving your boat if you break down. One is cooler :coolsmiley: than the next, you'll see.

The Villages Castaways Electric R/C Boat Worx has about 60-70 members depending on the time of year. About a dozen run scale boats and the rest run fast electric boats. We operate on Tuesday and Thursday at Lake Mira Mar in Spanish Springs. Scale boats on the left and fast boats on the right side of the lake. The fast side has an oval course to keep the direction of travel organized. One of the guys usually brings his retrieval boat that he trailers behind his golf cart. Others bring rescue rigs made of PVC pipe and pool noodles. We have a small group of racers who also go to a lake in Fruitland Park on the first and third Saturdays to compete on a 1/8 mile oval course. We run about 8 classes, including deep Vees, catamarans, hydroplanes and outriggers. Everyone is very helpful, shares advice, sells or swaps equipment, and fixes broken stuff. A hobby shop in Leesburg stocks a moderate amount of Horizon and Aqua Craft brand boats, and spare parts, Octura props, batteries, etc. Club website is Fast Electric RC Boat Club (http://castawaysboatworx.club/)
Oh, BTW, there is a large electric airplane club and a car club, plus about 5 sailboat clubs.
