So far, no one had stepped up and said, "I wrote the plan (or any part of it)."
Congresspersons don't write the bills/resolutions. The meat of the documents are written by various special interests, and then edited by staffers to meet formatting (font, style, etc) requirements for submission. Congresspersons are rarely expert in any proposed legislation they sponsor.
So, who wrote the various sections of HR 3200? Who edited it? Who are the supposed experts in health care management and delivery that came up with this "plan?" So far, all we've heard from is a lawyer-activist-now-President with no education or experience in the subject matter, a few congressfolk whose only health care claim to fame is that they can find their insurance card in their purse/wallet, and the Democratic Party faithful who more-or-less say, "If Obama says it's a good deal, we can trust him to be our daddy."
The congressfolk, even if they have read the bill, probably don't understand it any better than anyone else. Their staffers are predominately recently-out-of-college political science majors or lawyers. The President and Vice President probably have not read (or knowledgeably understand) all the technical facets within the bills floating around, and are relying on "talking points" prepared by their staffers (this is a common practice!).
So, who are the experts who wrote HR 3200 and the other bills? Were they written by particular special interest folk who have a monetary gain if it's passed? Will somebody please name a couple of the experts, if for no reason than to give credibility to the content? Was it written by AARP, or by a K Street lobbying firm under contract to _______?
