Hi, I am moving to the villages very soon and wondering if any of the doctors in TV accept Medicare? I only have Medicare.
Thanks,

Medicare advantage only in the Villages Health System. All others except Medicare A, B, etc.

There are many threads on TOTV about this subject. Suggest you search " Medicare " , " Healthcare Insurance ", " Medicare Advantage ", etc. To provide a direct answer to your question, the answer is most doctors in or around The Villages accept Medicare except for the " The Villages Health " who requires you to buy a United Healthcare Ins. Co. Advantage plan. Do your research carefully on this subject as well. If you anticipate in the future occasions of chronic illness you might give consideration to purchasing a Medicare Supplement plan.

You do not have a supplement or advantage plan also? VHS (Village Health System), only accepts Medicare ADVANTAGE plans, they have 3 that are approved, this is for your primary care doctor. Specialists within the VHS still accept, Medicare and supplemental, and as far as I know the advantage plans.
There are lots of threads on this subject, but IMHO, contact SHINE SHINE - Home (http://www.floridashine.org/)

They will provide an UNBIASED review of the various health care options.
If you do a search on this site, you will find equal numbers of pro ADVANTAGE plans versus SUPPLEMENTAL plans, so you will need the discussion with SHINE.
You did not state your age, the VHS rules are different for below 65 and 65 or over.
Hopes this helps, welcome to TV.

Just got kicked out Villages health care with Medicare and Tricare for life. Why would I as retired military want to for extra policy? They said they don't accept Medicare as primary. Basically you have to Have their one and only plan to be in villages health care. So much for grandfathered in. No bigger just wasn't all that great anyway, just go down the road somewhere else. Amazing how FU the health insurance is. ALL political and kick backs.

I went to shine several times, they said I could keep my plan when I turn 65, Medicare primary and Tricare for life and still be in villages health care system. Nope, got the call today form Villages health care and said I had to have advantage plan to be accepted in village health care. Said they would NOT accept Medicare as primary. Why would I want to pay for another supplement just to be in village health care and screw up Tricare for life.
