If you are renting during that time try to find a place that includes a golf cart. It will save you a lot of hassle.

Or...just drive your own here. We did many cross country trips here and back before we became Frogs.

For years we flew in used our golf cart and rented a car for 2 or 3 days couple times a month, when there was a special. Doesn't take a lot of planning and and our usual cost for 3 months about $400

Good ideas all. Our rental has a cart. I'll fly in Nov. then fly back to Mn. at year end to get my wife and drive back to TV..

If you really need a car, try calling the local car rental firms, you might get a significant break for such a long rental.

If you have golf cart? Maybe just take taxis for the few trips you might need car. IMO car rental for months won't be cheap even if it's junk yard dog. Hopefully the rental centrally located in case it has electric cart which "may" limit your outings? Notice I said MAY!

I mis read your first request. You asked about a vehicle and I read cart, not car. I am sorry for the confusion I caused.

Winter just past, my wife and I rented our car for three months, with full insurance for $2145.00 from Dollar at Orlando Airport. I believe it is a little cheaper off airport.
Bit pricey, but peace of mind is worth the extra.
Tried a few 'Rent a Wreck' sites over the years, but insurance and cars were 'dodgey' to say the least.

Used an actual firm called 'Rent a Wreck' in Cairns, Australia many years ago. I asked the boss what to do if the car broke down, he replied, "Just dump it mate, and come and get another one, we have plenty more!"
