While he has mostly been quiet until now...he has decided to speak out.

“I argue that we shouldn’t spend money on programs that don’t work, whether at home or abroad. But they should fully fund programs that have proven to be efficient, effective and results-oriented. Saving nearly 12 million lives is proof that PEPFAR works, and I urge our government to fully fund it.”


With this and his alleged comments on Trump's inauguration speech...my opinion of Bush has been rising. :thumbup:

I actually voted for the younger Bush twice. Not a big fan of the Clinton political machine nor of typical Establishment politics.

I am certain that Trump humiliating Jeb Bush and beating out every establishment Republican had little to do with how G.W. Bush treats Trump:boxing2:

One wonders how George W managed to stay classy and quiet while the worse president to sit in he Oval office damaged this nation for 8 years?

Predictably progressives will jump in "because Trump is worse than blah blah blah blah blah...................

Closer to the truth is that Trump's entry into politics shifts gears and all those rich Democrats and Republicans are struggling to retain their fiefdoms .
