We were getting gas at the Colony Shell Station. The pump used the Premium rate even though we pushed the regular button. When we reported this to the Manager he "RUDELY" replied that we were wrong and that it was our "FAULT". And said that we NEVER had to get gas there again. (This advice we will take.) Just passing this along so you know what to expect if you ever have an issue there. The new neighborhood Walmart across the street will sell gasoline I believe.

If it was the owner to whom you spoke, you now join a long line of customers that he has treated badly. On one trip there , the man delivering Pepsi commented to me how rude this guy is

you might be surprised at how loyal some Shell gas customers are. Paying at the pump makes it easy to avoid the rude manager. Basically gas is gas and for the short length of time we own a car before tradein you might not notice a difference if you buy elsewhere.

I stopped going there a long time ago. No regrets.

I suspect that with Winn-Dixie dropping "fuel perks", which were redeemable at Shell in favor of Plenti, which can be used at Exxon-Mobil, a lot of those "loyal" Shell customers will evaporate. You might also see more Exxon-Mobil stations popping up here and there.

They snagged a friend of ours ATM card at the Shell on 441 near Perkins last week. I only use a Shell card there there to limit my liability. What a shame.

The only safe gas station in the area is Sam's--they know whenever the door to the pump and credit card readers has been opened.

You might also notice that the buttons to change the grade of gas are arranged MOST EXPENSIVE FIRST, instead of least expensive first, like gas stations with integrity. I would guess a lot of people push the first button by habit. He's a rip-off either way.

and also note the regular is dispensed much slower (as timed by gallons, not price) than premium---another subliminal message

I am amazed at how much people know about buying gas. I just buy it where ever I happen to be when I need it. I buy regular gas, and don't even look at the price or the name of the gas station. I live near Colony, but have no idea what station you are talking about. The only thing that makes me angry is when the pump won't give me a receipt and I have to go inside. But, I do think that the pricing at the pump is monitored by the Government because of the taxes on gas. Also, I think premium gas is a ripoff unless your car "knocks" on regular gas, regardless of what the car manual says.

lack of a receipt is common at Colony Shell as are inoperative pumps

This owner sounds like the soup nazi from the Jerry Seinfeld TV show. I NEVER stop there; he is RAPING the customers! I hope Wally World puts this joker out of buisness!
