A lot has changed since they took over Brighthouse. We've since switched to Comcast with no contract and no auto pay. That positions me in the drivers seat when/if there's a problem. Takes all but 2 minutes to disconnect their box to put in on the other side of my front door for pickup.

Yes, min 90 days of turn off before you can turn it on again.

They do but if you have a current special the seasonal plan invalidates it. I had a special 12 month plan at $29.99 a month for internet. I shut it off for 4 months for $5 a month. When I turned it back on my bill went to $79.99 a month. I was told the seasonal plan cancels all specials, however if I signed for another 12 months they would give me a special rate of $59.99 saving me $20 a month. Yeah right.

I have Directv and put it on vacation for part of Nov and Dec and then April to Sept 1st.There is no charge for the vacation time.For internet I have Comcast.I signup Sept 1st and keep it on until April when I terminate the service.The following Sept 1st,I am considered a new customer and signup.

Comcast is the worst! The techs are nice, the office folks are ok, but getting someone on the phone from, God knows where, who speaks english and gives you the same answer twice is a problem. I've had the service for 7 months and never had a correct bill yet. I'm turning in my equipment on Monday. It isn't worth the continual hassle.

When we came to TV in 2011, we had Comcast, two major problems;
1) charged use for installation on a new pre-wired house (that really aggravated me)
2) customer service (phone)
3) dumped them after 6 weeks--went with Dish for a year(losing picture during rain--got to be too much)
4) been with Prism since --perfect
