Snide may be accurate...........but, real people know me as a real person, and warts and all I own that. I don't hide behind a screen name and say awful things and then post beautiful pictures.

You hide over here and are just ugly and then post on the other forum like Sir Galahad.

Here we go again.
Do you folks want to talk world and national events or simply post these flighty, non related things.
Are there not threads on the board to cover such tripe ?
I am sorry...hard for me to understand this stuff after getting grilled so much in the nature of my posts, which relate to the political arena.
Is this forum now going to be taken over as well ? Are there a few "special" posters on here ?
If so, let's put a star beside their name...they have permission to do whatever they want, talk about anything and the rest of us are subject to being interrogated at any time.

In all honesty, and while I totally agree with you, this thread seems to have been started solely to cover the "tripe' of which you speak...and not discuss any political issue.
So maybe if there are threads like this, those who prefer to only whine and attack can contain it to these types of threads...and minimize their participation in the more serious ones.

My bad.
I am just still a bit steamed, and guess shouldn't be.
I am used to playing by the rules, and that rules apply to everybody.
I have accepted that there is no "supervision" here, and thus many things are overlooked...I learned to accept that.
But I am used to being around adults with a semblance of common sense.
Gracie has condemned others, but not the racial and sexual things said. She does not condemn plagarism. Fact is, and again, I curse the fact that searching on this political is impossible, she has made it a very distinct point to pat on the back many who simply ignore rules.
Maybe those I consider adults are not adults. Perhaps, a lack of conforming to rules is passe'.
I apologize to Gracie for mentioning your name, but you have insulted me so much, by commission and you have continually gone out of your way to throw in everyone's face, a favorite poster of yours even though you are applauding violations of rules that you keep touting, and it appears you do it by design.

Bucco. Stop whining. Stop with the same things over and over. You think Donald Trump is a liar. We got it.
We are waiting to see if the man will come through with some of the things we want. Things we really believe in.
Many of us anyway. The rest of the people who are whining and acting like children are extremely disheartened that Mrs. Clinton didn't win. I didn't like her and I didn't like Sarah Palin. I am not opposed to a woman being president, but not those two LuLu's.
Anyway, Rubicon calls them ...something...something syndrome and he is right. We didn't whine when Obama won the election. We were pretty quiet and pretty patient and acted like grown up people, for the most part. I cannot get over all this marching and all this bitching and moaning on the part of the left.

You really believe my discontent with you revolves around the names you mention ?
It does not at all. You can love, root for anyone you want. That could be political discussion.
No, you judge me personally, and others, or accept or deny rules of TOTV based on politics, That is simply wrong.
If you ever offered any concrete items for discussion, that's fine, but your criticisms of everyone is PERSONAL and based on their politics. Your judgement rule is whether they love Trump or not or how much they hated Obama. I ave very good friends who supported Trump, and we have spirited debates BUT BASED ON TOPICS. By the way, he voted for and supported Trump even though he had great doubts about Trumps character.
Liking or disliking people....respecting people, based on whether they love Trump is basically so immature it defies imagination.
In an earlier post you "implied" that Trumps character was better than Obamas. That is so ludicrious, it simply points out my problem?
If you want to discuss politics, so be it, but you make the case that alarms most Americans. Trump supporters do not even care about his lies or character. It has permeated the world, his lying I speak of, and is and will become a much bigger problem.
When you say "we" and you say it quite a bit, I am not sure of exactly who "we" is but most of us are Just Americans.

Gracie has condemned much of the sexual things I have said and many of the racial things Don has said. Now I don't agree with her condemning my choice of words, but you are bold face wrong with saying she has said nothing or little.

I do not like this journalist at all, but my few months back in this forum, he is correct when he says...
"More than ever, it's clear that conservatives never really had a problem with a golfing President, what they hated seeing was a black golfing President. I also think this was the subconscious message that Trump was pulling on throughout the campaign trail to his almost exclusively white audiences."
I am personally shocked to be saying that, but those of you adoring Trump are representative of this feeling. Thankfully, you Trump lovers are a smaller extreme group of Republicans. The professional politicians, I understand, but you folks represent what is wrong.
The hypocrisy of you folks is really disheartening.
You actually believe Trump has ANY CHARACTER AT ALL, and he has none.
I now actually believe your hate of Obama is not issue driven, it is in fact race driven.
. This was so apparent when a post this evening actually felt Trumps character was comparable to Obamas, and said earlier last week that she had no problem with Obama race.
"In 2013 Sean Hannity tweeted, "Glad our arrogant Pres. is enjoying his taxpayer funded golf outing after announcing the US should take military action against Syria."
"WThe racist caricature of the "uppity negro" has deep roots in this country. Uppity negroes have irritated white folk for over a hundred years. In its most simple form, the uppity negro is a black man or woman who enjoys anything other than working from sunup to sundown. Particularly, an uppity negro is a black man or woman who enjoys creature comforts in life that some whites may not yet be able to afford to enjoy — say a musical, a play, fine dining, or, you guessed it, a round of golf."
"And if Obama was anything to the average white bigot, he was just that — the quintessential uppity negro, with his Harvard Law degree, and his beach trips to his home state of Hawaii. Over and over again, white conservatives obsessed over things like the exact costs of Obama's family vacations. Now though — with tons of money being spent to protect the entire Trump family as they gallivant all over the world, for business or pleasure, those same critics are now silent."

Kudos to those folks on this forum who at least are openly against anyone with black skin. At least they are honest.
Those who silently approve are worse. They present their "patriotism" and "love of country" as if they even knew what that meant.
Try and be hated because you were born with black skin...NOTHING ELSE, just your birth skin. Your success, your character, your education, your love of family, all means absolutely nothing because you are born with black skin.
Again, while I detest the race talk and hate...makes me ill, I give credit to those who post it for being so much more honest than the phoney preachers.

You judge Obama because his skin is a different color..you ignore his character and his manhood being a good husband and father.....all are despicable by you, and your simple mind.
You are not telling anyone that you simply hate him because he is black and then preaching other things as to why you love Trump.

So, correct me if I am wrong. And I am not going to attempt to debate you. You will always win the argument.
You are pretty much against diversity and feel that any ethnicity but whites are inferior. Paraphrasing, of course.
You are neither Republican nor Democrat.
You are an atheist and do not believe in a divinity.
You believe that everyone in gov. is corrupt. Paraphrasing again.
You believe that women are inferior.
Did I leave anything out?
No? Well, if you are against everything and believe in nothing, what is your purpose? Or, do you only believe in yourself as your own private divinity?
I have also come to the conclusion that no matter what anyone says on here, you will argue or criticize their thoughts. Not just disagree with them. And the purpose of my observation is not to disparage you, because I believe that everyone should be an individual and own their own values.
Like I said, I am not disparaging you, just making an observation. What keeps you alive?
By the way, in every argument you have made in this forum, you have provided a link to some reference that supports your view, EXCEPT when talking about religion.

Most people who claim to be religious are in name only...they don't REALLY believe all the hosesh!t...they more go along for the ride than anything else.
I'm talking about the TRUE believers in the whole man in space watching over everything with a big master plan crap. Those willing to die for their "beliefs". I question their sanity. I wonder how anyone could be so gullible. Then I remember...they start the indoctrination...the brainwashing when they're infants with no defense...it SHOULD be considered child abuse...but religion is too important to the rulers...so they allow the mass insanity...the mass delusion. Just like they allow the mass delusion of racial and sexual equality.
If, you think religion is a beautiful thing, READ a bit of history.
It becomes quite ugly due to people practicing it.
Religion seems to be a human need to explain the unexplainable.
READ about the the Spanish Inquisition where monks recording, in writing, the screaming of people IN PAIN before they converted to Christianity. The Crusades-they did not only murder Moslems, they murdered Jews as well.
The pope told them they could kill for salvation and they could take anything they wanted-so long as the church got their cut. They brought faith to the Incas while stealing gold and bringing them disease. For the American Indians, some of whom actually showed the first settlers-INVADERS-how to survive, in the name of faith, in the name of religion they took the Indian's wealth-their land and they destroyed the Indian's culture. ASIDE-the Indians loved and protected the land. Global warming, excessive population growth-WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM.
We showed them a better way. IS IT REALLY?????
Could not leave out the Holocaust. We blame Hitler. We must blame Hitler for the establishment of peace. But, GERMANY killed half of the Jews in Europe. The Vatican?
Some helped Jews and some helped the Nazis. RELIGION?????

Freedom of speech is most important when the person speaking does not agree with you.
Yes it is...YOU can always ignore them...which is also your right.
Overall...yes. When humanity is taken as a whole, whites have become the zenith. We have literally taken over the world. Western civilization is everywhere. If English is spoken in any percentage of the population...it's become "Westernized"...white. Blacks didn't bring the world together, Asians didn't go into space in the 1960s, S Americans didn't invade Europe...whites invaded them, overwhelmingly. Whites are western civilization and therefore the pinnacle of the human race. We have the Newtons and Einsteins. Asians are smart too...but don't have the drive, ambition, aggression whites do to control things. White are always moving forward, inventing, expanding...etc. Blacks ARE at the bottom...always and everywhere.
BOTH parties are completely corrupt. Why should I support either? Because I may agree with more "positions", FAKE positions one espouses over the other? They're BOTH full of frauds, psychopaths seeking power and money.
How could anyone with ANY rational though believe in a "divinity"...a "God" who was ALWAYS there and created everything...oh, and to top it off...he's involved with our lives. He's CONCERNED with what some "bugs" on a tiny speck of rock in an infinite universe are doing day to day...and he's judging them each as they die and putting them where they "belong". Do I have the main gist of religion, Abrahamic religion...pretty close?
They are...if you took a random group of women and another group of men and you dropped them off in the jungle. Which group do you think would still be alive a year later? Do you think there would be ANY women? Why is there women's and men's leagues/divisions in EVERYTHING? Men ALWAYS beat women. There is NO record I'm aware of held by a woman that NO man could beat. We're DIFFERENT...that's how "I" like to refer to it. We've each specialized.
That same purpose you have...make more of me and make the world a better place than when I got here. I did the first part...now I'm working on the second...making YOU aware that America is RAPIDLY falling...and it WON'T be able to get back up. We ARE being bred out. Hispanics ARE rapidly becoming the majority. They ALREADY ARE below age 7. I'm trying to get everyone to realize that we ARE losing our culture and our race. We were 90% in the 1950s where we were #1 as a country. We're now down to 49% of the population and #25 in the world. Within 30 years we'll be 25% of the population and "Mexico II" will be ranked around #75. Whit people are dying of old age MUST faster than we're reproducing. We're committing self genocide.
That's not true. I've put things. The trouble is...EVERYTHING from the past regarding religion...and MOST of the "his-tory" comes from the church and religious sources. It's ALL on sided. Most of my argument about religion is the whole thing is absurd right from the start. An "all powerful, all knowing, "God", created EVERYTHING? Where did this "God" come from? God had to get there somehow. Religion just goes downhill from there... The Torah, OT Bible stories are all based on older stories. The difference between "God" in the OT and NT is night and day...they're not the same person. If you have any idea of the enormity of the universe...you'll quickly realize that "Earth" and us earthlings are NOTHING. There's no God who cares about us, no aliens coming to eat us or enslave us.
We're just bugs, here for a time to make more bugs, and enjoy living until we die.

Let's talk about NOW...or the last thirty years, NOW. One thing I have observed that the suburbs in that time period were largely populated by kids who grew up in Catholic Schools where rules and sins were explained a LOT. The repercussions for their actions was drilled into them and they learned that they were being WATCHED.
It appears that all those rules and all that knuckle smacking put the fear of God in folks enough for them to follow those rules and scare them enough to live maybe psychologically flawed, but at least focused enough to find homes in safe areas for their fledglings, and work hard enough and sacrifice enough to live in those safe areas.
You can argue about religion until the cows come home but that brings us to the question as to who made the cows? Who slopped around into the first ectoplasm became life?
You can also say that humans like fellowship and like to gather when they are happy to celebrate...They want to THANK someone for the good and ask someone not to steal their young away through accident and illness.
I don't know. I am a struggling person who believes strongly in God about half the time. I think religion helps a great deal more than it hurts.
At the end. We all may be greatly surprised.

No...you will go to "sleep"...never to wake. Your eyes will shut and your mind will "turn off" one last time. That is the last thought you will have.
People want hope...religion gives them that...and a sense of community...we are "herd" animals.

Suesie, Are you one of the libturds like ungracie girl trying to insult someone from the backdoor??
ungracie girl posted this on a thread I started with a beautiful albeit third rate (accorbing to cnm and I believe tirdsac)watercolor depiction of an Egret and two babies,,
All I'd like to know is if the dumb bitch thinks I deserve the compliment from Ron Clark, I'm really losing sleep over this sh!t...
I often wonder what it would be like to live in a small town outside of The Villages. There are beautiful waterfront homes, EXPENSIVE waterfront homes in small towns near us. But we have never had a boat. I thought sea captains had salty language but never was called a dumb bitch by anyone, although they may have thought it.
Larry, I really think that if you were in a setting with folks that know you, you wouldn't act so nasty, so degrading, and that you would couch your disapproval in more respectful language.
AND I didn't know that was a water color. Good on you! Did you paint the cat too?

It must be an inside joke, or something, but you really seem to have a problem. Get over it dude. Get on with your life. You are babbling and sound inebriated. Take it outside or just grow up. For crying out loud, you have cried so much that you are going to have us either pulling our hair out or crying too.

Is this one of those things "we" (that is such an interesting use of that word..younexclude those who do not love Trump) because it appears that MAYBE he could care less about getting tax reform for "all" Americans, because he does not want Americans to see his tax return. And, nobody cares what he made...the care is what his relationship with other countries and what tax reform might help him. He seems to want to give up on tax reform to protect from being transparent as others have been and for what he always called for...
"WASHINGTON — President Trump’s promise to enact a sweeping overhaul of the tax code is in serious jeopardy nearly 100 days into his tenure, and his refusal to release his own tax returns is emerging as a central hurdle to another faltering campaign promise.
As procrastinators rushed to file their tax returns by Tuesday, the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, emphasized again on Monday that Mr. Trump had no intention of making his public. Democrats have seized on that decision, uniting around a pledge not to cooperate on any rewriting of the tax code unless they know specifically how that revision would benefit the billionaire president and his family.
And a growing roster of more than a dozen Republican lawmakers now say Mr. Trump should release them.

If only you could be astute when it comes to discussion or sharing in political, but hopefully when you get out of your teens and expand your reading scope, you can talk with the adults.
Why do you and your buddies hang out here ONLY to swap one line smart ass cracks ? Is that the cool thing to do in your neighborhood ?
Your total comprehension is to go after anyone who does not agree with you. That might get you in the gang you have, but it really comes across terribly immature, but hey....what can you do...you work with what you have.

Ok..bye..I will interject when you or your hero lies or spreads your phoney facts, but promise not to bother you

First, please search the users and look at posts from Bucco. That is me, and you will find Graciegirl enjoys calling me that on here, but certainly not out of respect.
I changed my user name TWICE. STICK WITH ME, and I will respond to your every word. I changed it from Bucco to Rags123 at the suggestion of administration, because I began to get unsettling PMs fron liberals about my active anti liberal posts, my stringent stand on Obama, and very much my negative posts on Obamacare. I was an original member of the political forum, I believe in 2007, and actually spoke with the previous owner to set it up.
If you search Bucco posts, you will be assured I am no liberal at all. I was a strong long time Republican, active in my party for years up north. Be patient, Gracie posted today I am wordy...I am but sort of sick of the false phoney things said.
I will get back to that story in a bit, but to your questions. I was absolutely stunned at Trump getting the nomination. Quickly, although most readers on here know I can bring you very specific details, I think Trump is not the most dispicable President we have ever had in terms of character and morals, he ranks near the top of all human beings. As a result I changed my registration from Republican to Independent because the party USED TO STAND FOR VALUES AND MORALS.
I read and talk politics basically 24/7. It was my job and always my passion for over 50 years. I am an insatiable reader, and noticed on this forum, it was taken over by the alt right, although they say that is not the case, I can certainly point out the EXTREME HARD RIGHT opinions and the unwavering love and loyalty for Trump.
Nothing wrong with having an idol, but I assure you, he has perpetrated a scam to get elected. This event will secure him more riches which is all he is concerned with along with his amazing ego. He is an extremely dishonest man and I hacpvevsaud this many times. I understand his followers frustration, but just in the last month you see him turning his backs on them. This will continue...I feel sorry for those that hold Trump in such high esteem, because is a pathological liar and deserves no respect whatsoever.
Ok...I did not vote for Clinton, and if you actually look up my past posts, I was never a fan of hers in anyway. I voted for McCollum.
My views are totally conservative, and I try to make that clear when I can, but Trump is a deal breaker for me. This man is scum as a human being, and I think, to the embarrassment of our nation we will see that come to view.
So, the Democratic Party has fed me squat. You can tell me to "suck it up buttercup" which is pretty much indicative of those who adore Trump. He is king, never wrong and when you make a case against him, you get the old....oh yeah...Obama,,,Clinton crap.
I used to be a calm poster, never aggressive, wanting to learn. No more...the Trump followers actually believe the fake Russian websites...a number were used today to slam the left..just fake crap. A few days ago, I angered a poster because I told her Trump NEVER owned a dog. She was adamant how worried Trump was about this dog and either she or another fan supplied a link TO A FAKE SATIRE site. This is what has been posting here.
I have tried to discuss topics...to no avail. We have a beloved poster who almost daily does one thing only....find an angle to condemn very single progressive on the planet with zero facts...he has plagiarized a number of times, and has used phoneyvRusdian sites as sources, but is loved because he loves Trump.
I find great harm being done to our White House, the presidency, our reputation. (I am not interested in saber rattling, "mine is bigger than yours" with no policy). We are losing credibility and as long as this president continues to lie, get less transparent, be mean spirited and leading poor trusting voters down.
Probably lots of typing errors and such, and I sure have more to say, but...
Buttercup, you are dead wrong in every accusation you make, but I am so used to that on here as Trump supporters feel now entitled. Gracie, on a few occasions refers to her hero and what he is going to do for "us", not America, but "us" referring to his voting block on here.

The fact that I dislike Trump does not mean I am precluded from supporting some things he might do, but watching him change so much is terribly difficult to discern...imagine how our allies feel.
If you are, as I suppose a lover of Trump, all I can say...you will be disappointed.
PS....my feeling is a political forum, something I have been engaging in for years, should be an exchange of ideas on issues and topics, exchange of related material that relates. I don't think President Trump thought he had a snowball's chance in hell of being elected, nor did anyone else when he threw his hat in the ring. It seemed that his plan was to expose what is wrong with this country and set someone about getting things corrected. He knew that if Hillary Clinton were to be elected, this country would only sink further. People were ready for a change because they were sick of seeing this country sold out and degraded. For the first time ever, when Obama was President, this country's credit rating ended up in the toilet.
Many have criticized President Trump for appointing businessmen to his Cabinet. Personally, I prefer having them there as opposed to the Muslim Cabinet of Obama. Think about this, it behooves business to do a good job for America. Why? Because if business does well, so do the rest of us. Think about it this way. If you have a personal financial planner, they only make more money if you make more money. Who in their right mind doesn't want to make more?
Does he, and has he made mistakes? Sure, he has and does. They all do. Frankly, his mouth is his greatest enemy much of the time. However, those who meet with him one on one say that he is sharp and totally unlike what he tweets or says on TV. As for his making mistakes or changing what he thought was the right call at the time, is the sign of a leader. Of course, he lays himself wide open for vicious attacks when he does. If he sticks with a plan, come hell or high water, and it blows up in his face, then those same ones will scream he was just too stubborn to change direction. He, frankly, is in a no-win situation. Any of you, ANY, who has done a perfect job from day one of your current or prior employment, please step up and take his place.
Now for the election, it was either elect him or settle for Hillary and further demise of all our freedoms. As for the electoral college, elections would only need to be held in California, New York, and a couple of other states. Small states might as well not bother to vote.
He may turn into a politician, but I sincerely hope not. He is not a polished speaker, but I feel that he truly loves this country. We had a polished speaker already. The military has a respect for him that they could not have for President Obama because he respects them. He takes the time to salute when he boards his plane or helicopter and when he disembarks. He does not have to be reminded nor are they half-assed salutes.
It is an absolute shame that Obama failed to be the President people expected him to be. He could have done so much. Unfortunately, he listened to no one. Like so many of our young people of today, he was sure he had all the answers. When he didn't, he simply refused to acknowledge the facts, and moved on or just chose to hit the ignore button. I can understand how he got elected the first time, just not the second. Neither McCain nor Romney would have been good, either. Once again, there wasn't much to choose from.
As for the other countries, I think they are just not sure what is going on, yet. I can only hope that they don't judge him/us on personality and like or dislike. It's just a welcome change to have a President that doesn't apologize for us or for being American.
He is exactly right on one other thing, too. Having to be Politically Correct is burying us. Why is it that the only person in this country that can be openly criticized is the President? Why is everyone supposed to walk on eggshells to avoid hurting someone's feelings or making them feel ostracized or discriminated against? If someone getting his/her feelings hurt is the worst to ever happen to them, then they are way beyond lucky. The Constitution guarantees everyone the right to be treated equally, not specially. It also guarantees everyone the right to pursue happiness, but it does NOT guarantee everyone happiness.....only the PURSUIT of it.
No one has to agree with me. That is each person's right and I fully respect that. I only ask that they do the same by me.
By the way, I asked this of another poster, but never got an answer....only more of the racist, anti-Trump, name-calling of everyone rant instead. Can you, or maybe someone else, please tell me explicitly how Russia interfered in our election? All I have ever heard is that "Russia interfered in the election". Are we supposed to simply say, "OK", and move on? I really want to know.

YOU got me....that is exactly my intent !!!!!
Well Rocky, if you weren't so darn charming, maybe you wouldn't have that same charm reflected back at you. You remind me of your Obama, and how he blamed everyone else for his inept, lack of leadership. You come on here with your snide remarks and then get offended when someone reciprocates in kind. Of course, it is my fault, right?
Perhaps if you did not try so hard to convince others that you are really a conservative, all the while spending hours on here cutting down on the current administration and advocating lefty ideology, you would be more credible. But hey, different strokes for different whiners, right?
By the way, no one is forcing you to reply. You can always put me on your "ignore" list....:1rotfl:

Much of your post I can agree with or at least understand, since I tend to be long winded I will just say, I absolutely do not trust Donald Trump at all.
As far as Russia.....they hacked the DNC and hacked Podesta. Then used Wikileaks to systematically release information to serve as a detriment to the Clinton campaign. This has been validated through ou the world.
The did not interfere with voting, although they attempted.
The current investigation, based on information garnered by our 17 intelligence agencies in concert with other countries intelligence agencies is based on information gathered during the investigation of Russia interference.
It is investigating what collusion existed between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

Well...Lets explore this post from the "50 years in the political arena" guy.
So, Russia hacked a private entity and private citizen's email...and we as a country paid for 17 intelligence agencies to investigate...do we put the same effort and expense toward any other private entities or private citizen being hacked?? Say the old lady down the street gets hacked from someone in Nigeria, do we commission 17 intelligence agencies to investigate?? The answer is NO. How can it be acceptable that Obamma spent that money on a partisan action??
After we spent all that money for 17 intelligence agencies to investigate a private citizen and a private entity hacking, it has been concluded that they did not interfere with voting. BUT WE CANT STOP THERE FOLKS...we need to make sure there was no collusion in a hacking that did not interfere with voting!!
I believe Rockface has made up his mind on the matter, as he did not include the words "might exist", he knows more than everyone else and has declared that collusion "existed" and it has to be proven!
Now bear in mind; this is a guy who voted for a person that was not even running for president...

I said I understood your remarks and in some cases I agree.
THAT does not excuse LYING. Lying is not something you do by accident...it is ALWAYS premeditated. And he does it always. Using a network as a source for national security has nothing to do with anything except he is playing his game for HIS own use. He is an egoist of the nth degree and always, his entire life has been so. I am not happy with his total disregard for ethics in the White House, his business relationsships etc.
If you read about Turkey, which I agree is a bit complicated, but alas his twin towers in Turkey are always at the top of his list.
He is a very very mean spirited man. He had no reason to insult the queen of England or Merkle from Germany...NO REASON AT ALL. He represents us all when he does that.
None of that has to do with political correctness...it has to do with a lack of any moral compass at all.
On the other hand, what gives me some hope is the slight movement to move Bannon out, his connnection to the extreme right. I have no problem with his cabinet but I really find fault with his hypocrisy on lobbyists. Another attempt to hide is how I see it.
I realize I am anti Trump....I admit it and feel I am on solid ground and nobody yet has given me reason on here to not feel the way I do....all I get is about Clinton or Obama.....the problem as I see it goes back to the primary and his support. I left the party at that point, because I sure hope someone does some homework on this President. In his 70 years he has done NOT ONE SINGLE THING FOR THIS COUNTRY, and I see no valid reason to mention him as a patriot.
I hope to be proven all wrong, but not one person has given me any hope to feel I might be. Obama. Clinton, lack of political experience.....ALL OF THAT does not excuse lying to the american public and being deceitful. You accept that....I just cannot.
He may work out, because I think he has some great advisors. His shift in his policies bother me but not as much as they should bother all his followers. He is coming back to a combination of Marco Rubio and Obama policies actually. All the EOs he has signed are nothing but calls for investigations.....he needs to govern.....and stop worrying about HIS own reputation. He was elected and now the campaign is over....govern.

You will probably be hearing soon just how Donald Trump's minions helped the Russians interfere with the US Presidential Election. It is under investigation. They need to find solid evidence even if the rumors suggest that Trump's people were involved.

First, I think but sure have no concrete idea, that this may take some time.
Second, I do not think that Trump PERSONALLY was involved with Russia, and I do not think he is stupid enough to allow traces of any exposure with any staff member consorting with them. I do however look at some of his reactions and wonder.
Thirdly, it is not just Russia....read about his Turkey ties...his twin towers in that country....his own admission during the campaign that he had "conflicts of interest" in Turkey. His support for a man who presides over perhaps the most corrupt and terror ridden country in the world, and who is now positioning himself to become another Putin (no opposition allowed). Why he supports him so publicly is a mystery to me. Turkey is a mixed and complicated bag. In many ways the USA needs Turkey but to publiclly support this man is a real mystery to me.

First, let me say thank you for your thoughtful and civil response and discussion. I think this is what we both are seeking on here.
I am not particularly a follower of President Trump. Like you, I feel that he should always level with us and let us decide if we agree. Hopefully, he does do that with the ones there that he has to deal with on a daily basis. One of the things he did that I completely agree with, is his NOT overriding or even attempting to override the rejection of the new health care plan with his "pen and a phone". The concept of what he is trying to accomplish with healthcare is good, but not all the crap everyone tried to attach to it, much like they did with Obamacare. It's good that this time it is NOT going to be rammed down everyone's throat just because he wants it.
I very much would like to see a Congress where they ALL are willing to work for the good of all America instead of themselves. I, too, am guilty of not paying much attention to politics when I was younger. I wish I had, but that changes nothing. The young ones out there now being so brainwashed by our higher learning system is pathetic. This going on in our universities is nothing new. It was beginning to take a toehold in the 60's. I remember my mother telling me that it was. As a school nurse, she had to take x-number of college hours each year to stay in the school system and saw what was beginning to happen back then.
As for lying, no one can possibly hold a candle to Hillary Clinton on that one. She continually lied throughout her campaign and to the FBI about her private server and the use of it. As a mother of two retired Navy sons, I can feel nothing but contempt for her lying to the parents of their sons killed in Benghazi. That was bad enough, but to accuse them of lying about what she said is totally beyond wrong. Then for her, then President Obama, and Susan Rice to go before the American public and the world and continue to lie about it having to do with a video just to win an election can be nothing but wrong. Remember, when you watch someone on live television continue to perpetrate that same lie in their speeches/interviews, is anything but admirable. McCain is just as bad, if not worse, along with many of the others on both sides.
I did vote for Trump. Voting for anyone else, was simply a vote for Hillary. Do I agree with President Trump on everything? Absolutely not. Maybe he would not catch so much flak if he would just shut up occasionally. He really is in uncharted waters and would do well to pay more attention and learn. He is definitely not stupid. He just needs to talk to the American people the same as he does with those in the one-on-one meetings. He needs to buckle down and realize that this is not a reality show. Sometimes he does; just not nearly enough.
The reason you get "about Clinton and Obama" is because Obama was the former President, totally anything but honest and transparent, and Clinton because she was the only other opponent with any chance of winning. Her only care/concern was in becoming the first female to ever be elected President, even if it meant buying off and stealing the nomination from Sanders.
I still think it is only fair to give President Trump the same chance that President Obama got for not one, but two terms. I was willing to give President Obama a fair shake. He blew it. I have no problem with a black/half black/Hispanic or female President. Unfortunately, the wrong one got elected; fortunately, the wrong female did not. Many, many countries have female leaders and always have and have proven themselves many times over.
Until we clean up our politics as we know it right now, not much is likely to change. Congress needs to be reminded that they are there to do a job FOR us, not ON us. WE are their employers, and as in any other job, you don't do it then you get fired! Until we take the money out of politics and quit shutting out all Americans except the wealthy, I fear not much will change. Just like the politicians, we need to consider what is good for our country, not just our own little corner of it. Money has destroyed so much in our country. I have no problem with people being rich, kudos to them for what they have. My problem comes with their takeover of politics, unions, etc. I grew up in a Democrat family. My parents always voted a straight ticket. That was the Democratic Party of old. Unions then represented the worker until someone figured out they could use it for their own personal cash cow. That is when the worker ceased to exist except for paying into that cow.
President Kennedy had it right when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." Sadly, both parties have chosen to ignore those wise words.

I think the single most important thing in your reply was your recognition of an attempt to be civil. I have become much more aggressive recently because so many feel a smart as response like an "endearing" nickname, changing GUEST to a demeaning name or totally avoiding real issues has hardened me.
In any case, we will have to "agree to disagree" on your comments relative to Obama and Clinton. While there may have been untruths from both on some topics, they are not in office. I objected very strongly to most of Obama policies but in time of emergency, or crisis, I believed him, and he was never shown to lie. I do not have that feel at all with our current President. If the truth will, in any way, show HIM PERSONALLY in anything but a positive light, he will shun the truth. He has DONE THAT ALREADY.
But, "agreeing to disagree" on Clinton or Obama is not a big deal as they are not in office at all and not relevant, except...
I suspect so many votes were cast as anti Clinton or anti Obama instead of FOR anything, and I understand that. Of course, my objection was the primary.
But, water over the damn....none should allow our current President to lie to us...not address policy (something I hope congress will pressure), use a news network as a source for foreign policy, PUBLICLY demean (and I will miss some) England, the Queen, head of state of Germany, his own intelligence community, and that is partial in addition to accusing PUBLICLY the ex President, and many others of feloni, and that list is partial. All while praising Russia and now Turkey, two countries that has substantial Trump business ties. Ther is PART of my problems.
I agree with you on health care, and hope he stops threatening Americans he will pull the rug, get smart, be a man and talk to democrats, NOT ABOUT ANYTHING BUT HEALTH CARE COSTS FOR ALL ANERICANS, no cute names like Obama care, just go to work and find a way. I agree with many things he has said. I just reviewed his entire life, and find it so troublesome to believe.
Thanks to you for your civility. Refreshing on here where one liners or general condemnation of anyone who does not bow to Trump is the norm.

I have absolutely no idea what this OP is about.
It makes no sense whatsoever and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Gracie's post.

And let's not forget your less than civil interactions with Rubi and Gracie on here...
Just can't get over the fact you voted for someone that was not even running for president and then go and call yourself a political expert...

I realize that neither Clinton nor Obama are not in office. I am not too sure that Obama does. However, I can only hope that you had the same distain for them and their blatant lies when they were in office, President and State Dept., that you have for our current President. Then outgoing President Obama lied, yes lied, on national television when he promised to make the transition to the new administration as seamless as possible. Everything I have seen since then and since the inauguration has been anything but.
As far as talking with the Democrats about healthcare or anything else, there is a committee doing that at his direction. Unfortunately, those in his on party and on that committee are interested in sneaking in stuff that has no business being in there and has absolutely nothing to do with healthcare. No wonder it failed. That and the fact that the Democrats have not been willing to even meet with them, much less be an integral part of any plan. He wanted to keep parts of the ACA, namely pre-existing conditions and children up to 26 being covered on their parents coverage. He also wanted to have insurance available across state lines. They could do neither. I don't think he or anyone else has said anything about pulling the rug out from under anyone. He has said Obamacare (ACA) is imploding and it is.
I have said this before and I will say it again. It totally amazes me that people from the US, Russia, Italy, and I don't remember what other countries can get along in the confines of the ISS and work together for the common good and goal for months on end. Why in the hell can Congress, both houses, and both sides of the aisle not do the same? They get breaks, way too many at that, and those astronauts are jammed together day in and day out, 24/7 and don't sit on their pitypots whining. Washington is nothing but a boatload of entitled selfish, self-serving brats. Maybe President Trump needs to tell these babies to get along, get something done for our COUNTRY, or go home and stay there.
Back to the lying: You say that President Trump always lies, yet in one statement you say that during the campaign he stated that he could well have some conflicts of interest with his overseas businesses. He wasn't lying then, was he? As for him talking with Putin BEFORE he was elected, he freely admitted that but also said that he had never met the man. You can talk to people without having anything nefarious in mind. That's how you figure out what others are about....communication. Remember it was Obama (yeah, I know, here I go again) that told Putin, when he didn't realize that it was being picked up on a live mike, that he would be "free" to do more after he got reelected. To my knowledge, nothing like that has come out with President Trump.
I don't have all the answers, nor do I pretend to. I do know that the man has a very strong work ethic and has instilled the same in his children. Yes, he got his start from his dad but did not sit back on his laurels with his hand out expecting his dad to keep it filled. He learned to work and work hard instead of living the privileged play-boy life. He made more than his share of mistakes with many willing participants simply because he did have money. If he mistreats women so badly, why do his employees, both male and female like working for him?
He's been slammed for his bankruptcies. Those were business, not personal. That is no different than the big auto makers, retailers, etc. doing the same thing. As he said, it is allowable by law and if it is that big a deal, then work to change the laws. It is the same with his taxes. Until everyone complaining about how much he has ever paid in taxes quits taking ANY deductions, itemized or not, then they need to just shut up. He has done business all over the world and if some of that business was conducted with Russia, then so be it. At least, he hasn't sent them millions or billions to build up their so-called non-existent nuclear program like with Iran.
Would love to continue this right now, but there is more to our life than me being on the computer. To be continued?

Well, at least you whiners have finished disparaging Gracie. That is a plus. Now, it appears that you are going to paste the same rhetoric and links to supposition on every thread. Most original.

Funny, I have never in my life been "civil" to anyone who lied, presented knowingly false information, directed hate toward anyone who did not share their Political views, AND while doing that presented a very false "holier than thou" attitude.
I have conversations with people who disagree with me all the time, but they don't TALK character and morality, but actually support it by actions and who value TRUTH over everything.

I believe you just described yourself to the "T" in that first paragraph.
I assume your wife does not have the same standards...because if she did, according to your post, she would never be "civil" towards you!
