Rusty is a Spitz mix, with some Pomeranian. He is 12 years old, about 23 pounds. He is quite active outdoors and often mistaken for a much younger dog. He is in good health.

We have found that the Florida heat makes it difficult to take him out with us, and he is not very happy being left behind. He does well with a sitter, but that is not a good long term solution for us.

Looking for someone that would like to keep him for 10-50% of the time, on a flexible schedule. If you would like to have a dog, without the full time commitment, let me know with a pm.

Have you considered having his coat cut down to a summer cut. Also, he will soon feel better as we'll start to have cooler weather. He sounds like a fun dog. Also a good romp at the doggie parks will help him to rest while you are away during the day. Good luck.

I kinda think that would be hard, sharing a dog. Maybe like sharing a child. I am very possessive about warm blooded creatures belonging to me.

Yes, he has had two cuts so far, the second was really a shave. He does well outside in the heat. It is just that he can't go out with us if we are going to make any stops where we have to leave him in the car. Before moving to The Villages, this just wasn't a problem for us.
