America has always had this notion of romanticizing outlaws and gangsters.
It may play well in Hollywood but the so called "sanctuary cities" are
harboring some very bad people and doing so with a populist but naive belief.
Why is some people conveniently skip over the word "illegal" when it comes to the subject of immigration?
Why is it that this nation's policy of immigration isn't based on occupational needs that result in productive people entering this nation that can care for themselves and simultaneously ensure American born workers are not be displaced in lieu of cheaper labor?
Immigration is important but it should be regulated and aligned with a national need and with people who desire to assimilate.

Wow...the tin foil cap is a little loose this morning, huh?
So this opinion piece is suggesting that illegal immigrants in non sanctuary cities are the problem...
Maybe if we rename all cities as sanctuary cities there will be no violence by illegal immigrants? Obviously there are no violent illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities...
Easier yet, let's allow anyone and everyone to cross our borders (whenever they want) and dispose of the term "Citizen of the United States". That would end violence by illegal immigrants...
We can add a couple more floors to your parents home, and all the other homes in the country, to provide housing for the billions of people that will be coming...

Again relevance. All you do is act like a monkey throwing **** at people you do not like. Worked for Donald Trump in the campaign but now he is walking back just about every promise he made to you Republicans. I reluctantly voted for Clinton as I have never been all that enthused by her either nor for William Jefferson Clinton.
So does paying taxes make you any wiser about anything? It sure does not look like it from your idiotic posts.

Are you working right now dirtbag? My various efforts got me 24 nominations to Marquis Who's Who publications and hundreds of them to various Vanity Press crap. This was in 1992 through 2004 when I was working on my 224 613 Project which has probably had more of an impact on survivors/victims of crimes and their rights to practical information relating to legal education than almost anything else. Especially with all the help I have had from hundreds of thousands of people. I wrote hundreds of thousands of e-mails from 1999 through 2006 or so. Some still pop up from time to time.

I am, I started at 5:15am, same time as most days.
I worked till 8pm yesterday.
I work 7 days a week probably 26 weeks of the year. Never missed either kids sports activities (would take a break and go back to work).
I have been working for 38 straight years.
If you want to compare tax returns, I would bet I paid at least 100 times what you did...

How about actually addressing the issues rather than doing your narcissistic preening? My work for survivors/victims of crimes over the 26 years has been an act of selfless love of others. All I hear from you is me, me, me! How much money you made has very little connection to just how valid your opinions are. Case in point-- Donald John Trump.

I agree. I feel frustrated that this is how Democracy is working here. I do not support "Sanctuary cities" for lots of reasons. What happened to my vote when I voted in someone who would shut them down?
To me it looks like Sanctuary cities circumvent the law in harboring illegal immigrants.
Donald Trump is roundly criticized for not doing what he said he would do. The prevailing opinion is against letting refugees from extreme Islamic countries into the U.S. at this time. AND deporting immigrants that are felons.

My problem with this is that very good law enforcement comes from officers knowing their local communities and their needs. Trump is making blanket statements about communities he knows very little about. Sanctuary cities might work for certain localities and this reeks of big government.
What happened to traditional Republican values of putting powers in the states and the cities?
Each one of these communities is dealing with complicated problems which demagogues like Donald John Trump try to make simple. They are not.

An INVASION of minorities is the problem they have. It's the problem the entire country has. Hispanics number 100 million now...1/3 the population...THEY run the country within 30 year unless they're stopped and sent back. Period...
They become sanctuary cities when they have enough minorities to control the city government. Hispanics, blacks...they're out for themselves...not the general welfare of white people.

You are clueless if you think I would talk about my 224 613 Project in some non law library or non library work setting. I barely talked about it in Jury Duty pools because it is very hard to talk about.
Maybe I will get a job at Walmart or somewhere like that but often those go to friends or friends of friends. But all that is extremely irrelevant to the policy of Donald John Trump and my opinions on it. I am sure you go to Walmart all the time and ask them what they think of how Donald John Trump is doing? Or some cute waitress at Bone Fish Grill. They are busy trying to get tips.

Evidently you feel this forum is law library or library because you mention your "project" often and don't seem to shy about trying to make it more important than a job and contributing taxes...
News Flash: Walmart does not hire based on who you know...go ahead fill out an application and find out. All though it might be more lucrative for a person with your skills to apply for a clerical job...but any job is better than none, so don't pass up Walmart. A job allows you to earn income, pay your fair share of taxes, and assimilate and interact with your peers in a productive manner.
The cute waitress, or the butt ugly waitress for that matter, are trying to support themselves and they do not get paid much in the way of an hourly wage, so they rely on tips from satisfied customers. Nothing wrong with that. In fact your should give it a try, so you understand the principle better.
Another News Flash: Don't talk politics or religion with your coworkers, that is a definite way to alienate yourself...stick to your boring project or non political current events (such as: "did you hear about the poor dog rescued from a hot car?").
Good luck, let us know how you made out!

18. Lynn Swann — NFL Hall of Famer; 2006 Pennsylvania gubernatorial nominee
Now we ARE desperate...NOBODY of any real value from here on out...all the way to #100.

It is interesting that we still have not settled the issue of the civil war-states rights vs central government.
As to the rights of illegal aliens, this complex issue is truly simple THE ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE NOT CITIZENS THUS THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY LEGAL RIGHTS.

Your aunt was wrong. If she believed in racial equality...she was wrong there too.
Then MAYBE they shouldn't be here? MAYBE they should stick to the Ladies Forum? Politics is traditionally a man's sport...play with fire, wrestle an alligator...you may lose.
Nobody is "pouncing on you"...I don't even know who I'm replying to most of the time, I don't bother to check. We're pouncing on your WORDS. When it's ME pouncing...it's because you're wrong...in my eyes. It's not personal, it's business...I can compartmentalize.
NOW you're getting it! MEN DON'T sugarcoat...you ask, you want an opinion, we tell you...bluntly. With men, a GOOD friend will outright tell you that you f@cked up. We DON'T see the emotional side because we don't LIVE in emotions like women do. Men think like a flowchart.
We ARE stronger...physically AND emotionally because we have less emotions to deal with. That's the point I've been trying to make with you. Women DEPEND on men to "fix things".
In some ways...no...but in others...yes. I would call you naive because you haven't been exposed to the "real world". Living in the villages shields you from the real world. The real world is getting slimier and slimier. If you'd REALLY like to see America's future you MUST visit "Spanish town" and MLK Blvd...because THAT is America's future as their numbers grow and ours shrink.

Isn't it...
And their ILLEGAL anchor babies should go too! There are 100 million Hispanics living here NOW. Soon it will be 150 million and THEY will be the majority. EVERYTHING will be "Spanish". We'll be living in Mexico II.
Nope...they haven't enforced the law in a LONG time...only the laws THEY want enforced. Stupid drug laws locking up millions in PRIVATE prisons. That's how they keep the white prison population "racially balanced"...ONLY lock up the worst minority offenders letting the others go...and lock up every white they can find...for nothing. You have Travon Martins, Rodney King's running around loose with pages of felonies...and some poor white kid doing 10 years for marijuana possession. Why? ALL the black males would be in prison, there would be hardly any whites, and it would LOOK racist.
