Has anyone been to either of these venues? Someone I met up at the square was telling me about a Wednesday hoedown at a local horse farm and someone else about the Opry. I believe the horse farm is the Carriage Museum of close by there. Any recommendations for either?

The carriage museum is on Marion County Road off of CR 25 running along the East side of the "historic area" of TV. (behind Orange Blossom CC about a half mile)

I really like the Orange Blossom Oprey. You would have to find out what their schedule is and who will be performing. On Thursday nights, they have open mike and I think the 3rd Thursday is the best (for some reason). I've been there many times and really enjoyed the shows.
There are country western bands that play at the Carriage House on certain nights. LeeAnn Noell's band was performing there at one time - again you would have find out their schedule.

I've heard from the GM of Havana CC that very shortly they will hold an old fashioned Grand Ole Opry Hoedown on Sunday nights, once a month. I'll get more details soon and will post them. From what I understand, there will be some old time musicians and singers coming there and it will be decorated with bales of hay and real country style. (what do I know, I'm from da bronx???)
I'll post more as I find out details.

I brought ten people to the OB Opry for a Saturday night "cast" show. Seats were $9 or $10 for reserved seats. Since we'd never been there before, we spent the extra buck for reserved seats. The show lasted 2 hours and was a nice collection of music, including Country, 50's, and Broadway tunes. For the price, you can't beat the entertainment. I highly recommend OBO. It's about 5 miles from TV at the intersection of 25 and 42.
