I continue to come across articles that suggest Fox News has been in the process of moving its political reporting to the left. The articles suggest that James and his wife Kathyrn Murdock ( part owners of Fox) have a radical left agenda . Kathyrn Murdock for example is a Director for the Clinton Climate Initiative and both James and kathyrn are close friends of the Clintons
Reports abound that Bill O'Reilly was really fired because of his political views. and that Sean Hannity was next. Sean Hannity was also accused of sexual harassment . He was at the ready given what happened to O'Reilly and had his law team pursue the accuser until she refuted her false claim. Jesse Watters also a target was falsely accused of making sexist remarks as respect Ivanka Trump
These same articles also make mention that a number of knowledgeable people have been having meetings for the purpose of starting up another conservative television news program
I am not interested in "he says she says" about the allegations against O'Reilly, Hannity or Watters.
What I am interested in is other posters opinions as to
1) do you believe Fox News will go left?
2) do you believe if it does viewership will drop?
3) do you believe another conservative news station will be created?
4) if a new station is created do you believe it will draw viewership in the same manner as Fox News?

Let's begin with what we know.
Roger Aisles is out there and is salivating for another network, so to question 3, yes there will be a new conservative station, but timing is something else. There are a lot of approvals needed, etc., and this will take time.
I do not think Fox will "go left" whatever that means. They have lost and are losing credibility because they tied themselves so closely to Trump. They have a lot of quality people there that are very frustrated, and want to report NEWS, and have the other radical folks that will support whatever lie or conspiracy theory is the newest. So, no to whatever going left means, but trying to become a more conservative answer with NEWS, yes. Thus, the door will open for Aisles to put together the extremists for a new network, while Fox can concentrate on news rather than what they have turned into.
If a new station is created in Aisles image with folks, the ratings will mirror the hard right extremists that support Trump no matter what he does or says. The extreme alt right has been looking for a voice, and they found him.
If what I am saying happens, the viewing numbers for conservative viewers will get split, as Fox would then be trying to compete with CNN and MSNBC.
I abhor cable news channels in general, and haveing "NEWS" be referred to as LEFT or RIGHT is very disconcerting. News is news.
Of course, producers who decide what is presented will oft times as human beings lean one way or another.
I detest cable news. Does not mean I do not watch. I like selected people on each channel. I also hate the demeaning of these channels by the President, posters, etc. I much prefer to read ALL sides, which allows me not to be distracted by personalities, and to verify what I am hearing.

Yep, it appears that the left has influence on FOX. Shepherd Smith is an example of gay liberalism. But, I have a feeling that it may not be a total change in trend. I think they just did not ever really accept Trump as a serious contender for president. Just an opinion.

Why is Shepherd Smith considered by you to be "an example of gay liberalism" ?
I think you should try and get a bit better informed before making such accusations. He is an extremely well though of NEWSman.
Bad mouthing people, and calling them names because they have integrity is a reflection on the accuser

"The Fox Report with Shepard Smith was a top-rated newscast in cable news and has been ranked third in the top programs in U.S. cable news.[5] Smith tied for second (along with Dan Rather and Peter Jennings) as the most trusted news anchor on both network and cable news in a 2003 TV Guide poll.[6] In addition to anchoring Fox News Channel's flagship news program, Smith also anchors most prime time news presentations provided by Fox News for the Fox television network.[7]
On November 19, 2007, The New York Times reported that Smith had signed a three-year contract giving him between US$7 million and US$8 million per year. This contract places Smith into the same pay league as anchor Brian Williams of NBC and former anchor Charles Gibson of ABC.[8] Smith renewed his contract with Fox on October 26, 2010, for another three years.[9]
On September 12, 2013, Smith and Fox News announced that, along with another multiyear renewal of his contract, his role in Fox News would shift. He would become the managing editor of Fox News' new breaking news division and the host of Shepard Smith Reporting.[10] Both Studio B and The Fox Report were phased out, and in October 2013 Shepard Smith Reporting began airing in the 3 p.m. ET time slot."

Its getting difficult to separate fact from fiction because many on the left have gone to extremes to topple Trump & Company and the left owns most of the media. The radical left is determined to shut down free speech and there are plenty of examples across the nation to support that statement.

Why do you feel that calling Smith what he is, to be a slur? Are you suggesting that calling someone gay is a bad thing? Are you a bigot? Smith IS gay and he is a liberal. What part do you disagree with? Of course, maybe you feel that anything anyone says is a slur if you do not agree with it. I apologize to my gay friends on here if I am not up on the latest terminology when describing a homosexual. A while back, if I was to call him a queer, it would offend someone. If I called him a fag, it would offend, and many folks would confuse it with the term used for a cigarette. Sorry if I upset you Rocky. Perhaps if I said, a non-straight sexual participant, liberal that would be OK? Perhaps it is not me that has bad mouthed someone, but you?

Why would you attack me as I mentioned I or cared ? I QUOTED YOU ?
I ask the same question if you......why is it necessary to refer to a respected newsman as you did ?
You are a great lover of Trump, acting immature like him. You are quoted and then attempt to turn it into an attack.
You have completely and totally ran away from the question...why you attack a respected newsman ?

The answer to your question is its a matter of the right to passage. A black dude such as a rapper can use the "n"word but if a white person uses it even watch out for the Al Sharpton brigade because its coming after you.
Same applies to gay if it comes from a conservative be ready for the backlash. such is the state of our union.

I just wonder if certain posters simply hate each and every person who is non white, not of obvious American born parents, of a religion they have not been exposed to, and maybe not of their particular sexual preference.
And do they apply that label to all these people in every case ?
Must be so great to be so special. I mean a white, straight, 2 generation American, of certain selected religions, who is a far right conservative is obviously well above everyone else and has the innate right to label and accuse anyone who does not fit in.

Mean spirited to mention his sexual preference? Isn't that your thing today? You know Catlyn Jenner, and others coming out? They have no problem with it. Apparently, you have something to hide, and I inadvertently outed you some how. Sorry, and I really mean that. If gays were so sensitive about being called gay, they shouldn't have gay pride parades showing everyone what their sexual preference is.
But, if this bothers you and you really need to vent, I am here for you. I made a simple statement of fact in answer to a question. You became enraged by it. Perhaps you need to see someone about that issue.
Funny how none of you on here from the left had any problem with that idiot making a holocaust joke at the press cluster the other night. Now, if I was to right call you out as a hypocrite, that would be nasty and spiteful.
Never mind, moving on............Oh, and by the way....this not personal. This is ONLY my response to your childish cries for attention. I attacked no one. I don't "hate" them...just don't want them around. What GOOD do they bring? What school, neighborhood, town, city, country did they improve? You like MLK Blvd?
Islam is dangerous for non-Islams. It's right there...in their book...conversion and dominance is their credo.
I don't like gay men...WHY would I want to be friendly with a man who is checking me out and wants to stick his pen!s up my butt...as a sign of affection?
The many outnumber the few...for every "decent" black person...there are literally thousands who are the complete opposite. To see the REAL black population...the 99%...you need to go to MLK Blvd. Because THAT is where the 99% live. 99% of blacks live in the inner cities of in the black part of town. That dirty, nasty, dangerous part of town that everyone avoids.
It IS great to be lucky enough to be born a white male. You got second best if you were born a white female. Blacks, Hispanics...they were NOT do lucky. And it's NOT my fault they're inferior and I shouldn't have to pay to artificially prop them up. Merit based...and if they CAN'T succeed enough to support themselves...then maybe they should just die out as another one of the billions of failed species. IF they were successful ANYWHERE on the entire planet...I could believe they were the same as us...but they're not, they're ALWAYS the bottom of the barrel. They're below, inferior to EVERY other race.
He's a queer...normal men don't like queers...or what they represent. What they do...as$ screwing is inconceivable to me. It's the LAST thing on earth I'd want to try. And yet it's completely normal...not even in the DSM.

Their birth defect...lets call it what it is...a congenital birth defect...NOT their fault. But neither is being born a sociopath or a psychopath. We don't allow THEM to run around willy nilly, doing whatever they want...what THEY feel is normal.
Liberals are enraged by the facts so thoroughly that they live in delusion refusing to admit truths.
Tell me about it...they wish the most vile things upon us all for being right and trying to SAVE them from themselves. They STILL deny that America changes completely within 30 years when the Hispanics become the absolute majority.

"Fox News on Monday removed one of its most powerful executives, Bill Shine, another seismic shake-up at a network that remains in crisis mode as its owner, Rupert Murdoch, moves to steer it past the sexual harassment scandal that first engulfed it last summer.
Mr. Shine, a network co-president and a longtime lieutenant to its disgraced former chairman, Roger Ailes, was viewed by some employees as a symbol of Fox News’s old-guard leadership even as its parent, 21st Century Fox, pledged reforms to the company culture and a new era of civility in the newsroom."
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/01/business/media/fox-news-bill-shine.html?_r=0
Word is that Hannity will be history, as he has a clause in his contract that he can just leave if Shine goes, and they were very good friends.

But, if you wish to start every thread with some stupid disparagement of the president, then expect someone to be equally snarky with you. If you can't take it, feel free to go join the YWCA with the other girls. Take you little sister Tal and big sister CNM with you.
On the other hand, do what you wish. This is a free country, regardless of the efforts of Obama, Killary and the puppet master, Soros. I've got no beef with you. You all take this too personal.
If you do not wish to have a discussion with the guys, that's up to you. Please do put me on your "ignore" list.....:1rotfl:

The answer to your question is its a matter of the right to passage. A black dude such as a rapper can use the "n"word but if a white person uses it even watch out for the Al Sharpton brigade because its coming after you.
Same applies to gay if it comes from a conservative be ready for the backlash. such is the state of our union.

Other than interesting guests, I don't see a whole lot of difference. Was glad to see that they replaced one dumb blonde from the Five with another one on The Specialists. Both seem equally dumb. The black Democrat "Specialist" actually seems intelligent and not as radical as many of the liberal examples they usually have on FOX. I can listen to her without automatically tuning out. Eric is almost conservative, motivated mostly by money, and is more libertarian socially. But the blonde..............

Noticed, and find it acceptable as balanced news, that Shepard Smith is leaning more and more to the left. I make this observation because it may underscores the reporting of James & Kathryn Murdock push to make FOX News another liberal bastion.
Bill O'Reilly is making claim that George Soros played a large pat in his departure. I do not care much for O'Reilly and his termination may have been for legitimate reasons. but all that amounts to is that O'Reilly made it easier for George Soros.
My interest is not in personalities but in the possibility of power plays

I think what this shows is exactly ho biased the media is. Fox has had a conservative ownership for decades and now more liberal people are taking over so they will present the news and issues of the day with a slightly more liberal bias.
Now imagine all of the other networks and understand that their ownership is very liberal.
They don't necessarily believe that they are presenting a liberal view, they believe that they are fair and unbiased. But the truth is that their bias is there.

I have a bias. As you said, everyone does.
My point is that all news organizations have a bias and because of the ownership, the vast majority of them have a liberal bias. FoxNews has been one of the very few that had a conservative slant. Now that appears to be changing.
In a perfect world, news media would simply present facts ands not give their spin on things.

Fox is biased so much, you miss a lot of real news. Cable NEWS is not news on ANY of them. It is discussion of what "they" consider worthy of discussing that day...done by a producer that you do not know of and will never meet.
If you think you get more NEWS on Fox than on CNN or MSNBC, you are sadly mistaken. You get a conservative does of commentary such as listening to Rush Limbaugh.

And CNN and MSNBC do not broadcast discussion of what they consider to be worthy of discussing that day?
CNN and MSNBC are nothing more than extreme left wings of the democratic party. The other networks, while not as bad as CNN or MSNBC all present the news with a liberal slant as do most of the newspapers today.
I don't think that most of them do it on purpose. The people that work for those publication and media outlets tend to be liberals. They hire more liberals. They don't look at their viewpoints as liberal, they just see them as the truth.
I am reminded of the story of when President Nixon was elected in one of largest landslides in US history. A seasoned Washington newspaper writer made the statement this statement to a friend at a cocktail party. "I don't understand how Nixon was elected. I don't know a single person that voted for him."
If a person on that position doesn't know one person from the other side of the political spectrum, is there an possibility that they can be objective?
That person is a liberal and every one she knows is a liberal and they all agree. As far as they are concerned, their positions on issues are simply given.

Just the fact that they aren't actively supporting and making excuses for Trump, as usual...is pretty revealing in itself.
Add to that a staunch Republican like Senator Bob Corker stating; "The Trump White House has got to do something soon to bring itself under control and order"...even dummies should be able to figure out something is really wrong. :ohdear:

Not to change or continue to pursue your subject, but I find the TV networks to be amazingly ludicrous too. Even on prime time TV, there is overt showings of Homosexuality like it is common everyday nature. They act like one out of three teenagers as well as adults are in gay relationships. Maybe that is true in Hollywood. Then, to add to the incredible, there is a white and black marriage or relationship in every show, like this is common practice also. We get it, America accepts these unusual relationships, but they are not as common as TV portrays them.
Ok, back to the subject of FOX news. It appears that many do not know the difference between NEWS and Commentary. Most of us would prefer to get the news without the extra commentary inserted. There are plenty of talk shows if one wishes commentary. I flip channels to get my news. I do not listen to commentary, except occasionally a FOX commentary show. I do find that there is more actual NEWS broadcast on FOX than the local channels, but since returning to America, I no longer watch CNN.

Sadly, the people who own our media sources is shrinking.
THAT SHOULD NOT BE.
I expect TYPICALLY on this website someone-the same someone will request a link. An easy way to discredit anyone they do not agree with so PBS.ORG/INDEPENDENTLENS/DEMOCRACYONDEADLINE/MEDIAOWNERSHIP.
There are many others saying the same thing.
In 1983 ther were 50 corporaations owning most of the mass media today it is 5.
////////////////////////////////////////
FROM ME- It is spooky when you discover how many of them are owned by DISNEY. You can claim, choose to beleive, whatever you want but people who work for these
SUPPOSEDLY balanced news sources quickly find any story
not in keeping with the owners view will not be run and if you insist on continuing with what you consider VALID REPORTING you will find yourself to use Trumps line-FIRED.
Of the five remaining owners only Murdock-FOX NEWS-leans Right.
I do often wonder-on almost all of the Fox shows they have a sacrificial left winger. For example on the FIVE
it is 4 left to 1 right.

These are inter-species relationships...as unnatural as could be. Might as well date a dog or a horse, you're not dating a human.
Agree most people find it unnatural and I believe the homosexual agenda of pushing their lifestyle on people will only hurt their cause in the long term. Bill Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell was good policy for everyone.

////////////////////////////////////////
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////
FOR ALL OF YOU-FREEDOM OF SPEECH WHILE IT IS TWISTED I MANY PEOPLE'S MINDS IS NOT FREEDOM FOR ALL THAT AGREE WITH YOU AND DENIED TO ALL THAT DO NOT.
SADLY-our population seems to be moving to both ends.
The left moves further left and the right moves further right. Hillary is actually left of Obama-if that is possible.
Trump has been declared by his own supporter to be not far right enough. FOR ME, I VOTED FOR TRUMP AND HE HAS BEEN FOUND TO ME TO BE RIGHT ENOUGH.
Sadly Disney ,Comcas ,HBO etc are huge promoters of the homosexual agenda. I find myself withdrawing from television more and more because it is so slanted toward a radical progressive agenda social justice warriors, climate change, denying a sexual binary, socialism, bad and evil white guys racist and corrupt cops .
I loved Pirate movies and loved Black Sails until the last scene when the protagonist ends up in prison and kissing his lovers. Pirates don't kiss other pirates. Pirates walk the plank. that last scene killed the entire series for me.

totally agree and that was the agenda as written back in 1987. show it socialize it and it will become normal. However most people are not entertained by homosexual loving making and so in that the more they show it the more heterosexuals will come to ignore it.

Are you sure about the homosexual love making? You must have been watching a movie on another type of channel!
No way the sensors would have allowed that!
