Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the haze off tiles in a newly constructed house? They put the tiles in well before the house is finished and all the dirt, dust , and grout dust gets ground into them with all the construction workers still working in the house for a month after the tile is laid. The cleaning crew that cleans the houses before you move in did not get them clean. We cannot seems to get the dusty looking haze off of them. Anyone have any luck using something that made them shiny again?

We tried vinegar and water but it didn't get the haze and gunk off.

We finally asked them to acid wash the tile and that worked

We called warranty and they had the tile acid washed. It looks awesome now.

You will not get it off with a homemade solution easily. It needs to be acid washed, as it is from residual grout haze on the face of the tile. This is a warranty issue I commonly include in my warranty inspection reports.

Hope this helps.
