What they failed to mention is that the pond is dry.

Could be water in that pond from picture. The angle is wrong for me to see the bottom anyway.

There was no mention of a golf cart crash.

It is possible the man may have committed suicide. It is not usually mentioned.

The article said the man was found deceased near his golf cart.

When the article was first posted the headline read. FATAL GOLF CART CRASH. The heading has now been changed.

The Sun reported the story in this morning's edition. They said the man's wife had taken away his car keys and she was going to get some sort of tracking device for the cart the next day. So it sounds like he had some sort of dimentia or had talked of suicide. So probably either suicide as GG mentioned or dimentia took hold and he lost track of what he was doing.

The Sun article made it sound as though he needed "some" supervision due to her wanting a "tracking system" on the cart. It's sad nonetheless!

Sun also reported the man's wife took his car keys away from him yesterday. There is much more to this story than a fatal golf cart crash.

Probably not in "real life" there isn't much more to the story but certainly on TOTV.

For starters it's not a "fatal golf cart crash". But that isn't enough for the TOTV posters. Somehow it evolves into most likely a suicide and even speculation he talked to his wife about suicide?

Heck, maybe he was struck by a stray bullet or attacked by a coyote?

Whatever the cause, FHP couldn't come up with a definitive answer so we await info from the ME.

In the interim, odds are he died of natural causes and to speculate on anything else based on the limited information provided is ridiculous.

Nice post. Still think the mostly likely cause is a heart attack. We probably will not see any details in the paper though. It will become a private matter.

DS said an autopsy will be performed and no one knows exactly what happened yet!

DS didn't mention a golf cart crash and any other foul play.

We need the facts and not speculation.

When we lived in Melbourne, FL some years ago we found an elderly lady wandering towards the retention pond behind our bird cage. We put her in our car, and knowing she did not live in our HOA community, we took her to the next street, hoping she would point to the right house. Sure enough, she did. So we pulled into the driveway and knocked on the front door. Some guy came to the door, and we asked if he was missing a wife. He was not sure, so we brought him to the car, and he took a look at her and said, "I think that is my wife, but I am not sure." She did not recognize him. We left her there and immediately called an agency. We do not know what happened, but this left us badly shaken.

That's what I guessed it was. My uncle Alvin dropped dead of a heart attack in the Golf Pro Shop in Itasca, IL while I was in Itasca helping my Uncle Bill get out of bed and around. Uncle Bill lost a leg and arm and part of his skull to a German tank's tree burst round at the landing at Anzio.

Alvin had been the Fire Chief in Itasca but then retired. His funeral service had fireman from all over Chicagoland coming to visit and a parade of fire trucks through Itasca.

RIP Pickleballer Andy.

Highly irresponsible to assume suicide in this case and to post it with absolutely no facts.

Some people don't engage their brain before posting and some are just nasty idiots. Me? I'm just sarcastic .... but not about the deceased. :spoken:
