We are looking for an Attorney near The Villages to draw up the RE contract and handle the closing on a For Sale By Owner. Does anyone have a recommendation. The Villages' attorney McClin and Burnsed no longer actually hold the closing. We would prefer to have everything handled by one attorney.

Go to a Title Company. There is one behind Billy's Diner or whatever that is called on 441. You can google for a free real estate contract, save yourself money. I think it is called Tri County Title?

If it is a complicated sale, an attorney may be a good idea. Otherwise, no, you don't need one. Google by entering Florida real estate forms. You can get them free from the government as they are state forms. Don't bother with those websites that charge you for downloading the forms.

Good luck.

Any title company can handle it. We used a Freedom Title. Easy peasy. Costs were significantly lower than Peninsula Title (part of McLin, sort of). Congratulations on your private sale...you saved mucho $.

Just for the asking, Tri-County will give you a FSBO kit that tells you how to do everything. Maybe Freedom Title does, also.
