Armyworms, I think

Does anybody know what all the small black caterpilars are, and how to get rid of them, they don,t seem to have the same cycle as other lepidoptra

We even have them down here in Naples! Yuck! They're so gross and they are everywhere. This is the first year we've had this problem, and we've been here since '05.

We recently had our lanai enclosed (we love it) and every morning I find dead worms(?) on the tile floor. The lanai is tightly sealed so the mystery is what are they and where the heck are they coming from.:loco:
