Hello:
I am relatively new to the TOTV and so far how found it to be a very helpful site. My father passed away several months ago and I've moved into his house here in The Villages to try to sort out through his things.

I am looking to do an estate sale and was hoping someone could recommend an estate liquidator - i.e. someone to come in and do an estate sale. It's a bit overwhelming to set up a garage/estate sale myself so I would prefer to hire a 3rd party to do it for me. As a last resort I would sell everything at Bargains and Treasures, but they do take a 40% commission while most liquidators who come to your home take only a 25% commission.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am very sorry of the passing of your Father. I am not in TV yet, but if you are still looking for ideas....I would recommend an auctioneer. I'm not sure if they have them in that area. A garage/estate sale was too much for me too, so a friend recommended an auctioneer. It was the best thing I ever did, he has taken everything, new and old. They come in and wrap it, pack it and sell it. And his commission was only 25%. He is coming in a few days for the last load. He is definitely earning his 25%. Hope this helps.
