My whole life I hear this "Pride cometh before the fall" wisdom and I always thought it had to do with self serving rich blowhards. I couldn't have been further from the truth. That ditty wasn't written for those guys. It was written for the poor, uniformed and willfully disconnected blind populace willing to be led in any direction so long as their shallow emotional/financial needs are met. Their's your pride!

You may be right OP. However the Democratic Party of today is not my father's Democratic Party. It has been infiltrated with many fringe groups, socialist, communists etc. so it isn't pride in my view that is bringing this party down its arrogance and its sister ignorance that is creating their problems. The Democrats lost the election because they failed to recognize that their party's platform is persona non grata

The "new" Democratic party is going to be the Hispanic party. As Hispanics grow in number and move closer and closer to being the majority...they will elect more and more Hispanics. America WILL become Mexico II within 30 years...you have left your heirs sh!t.

I realize you idiot one horse posters don't believe me, but I am a true conservative.
My difference of opinion is with the President, but not the policiy differences and I have been very clear over the years how I feel.
Having said that, with no dramatic change, Trump is setting up his party for an historic landslide beating in 2018.
Just my opinion but with 100 days in, and no sign of much change, this will get much worse before anything. That will demolish the Republican Party.
Furthermore, the President is spending so much "political capital" with his personal issues, there will be very little left for him when he needs it legislatively.
At this poin, he is digging a hole...only time will tell if he is able to get back. To be President for just over 100 days, having fired 3 justice department employees because he was being investigated....and remember those investigations are of HIM, not the party....and such a low approval rating for this time in a presidency...seeing already some cracks in congressional support, without dramatic change it could be bad.
On the other hand, Dems have leadership problems, but my opinion of Trump is that HE will insure he is the headline, and again, it could spell disaster.
