Thanks for this link.....every american should read...this below is from the Washington Post...
"President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.
"The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said."
"The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency."
"Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”

I SO hope this story is not as it's being reported, because if it is...the man-child is even scarier than thought.
While the POTUS can declassify anything at anytime, without breaking the law, telling the Russians something (if the story is true) that we haven't even told our own trusted allies, just to brag about how 'great' our intelligence is...stretches comprehension.
The future fallout from our allies, who may now be reluctant to share important intel that we need because they're afraid the POTUS may go around bragging about it...could become a real issue.
Simply unbelievable. :ohdear:
I also predict that not a single one of the Trump Cultists on this site...will utter a peep of criticism or concern. :sigh:

Of course you have decided what must be read...
What about anyone on here that is not an American, should they read it too?
Does anyone know what Trump said that is being considered classified (his exact words)? It could have been "we have been told by our source one of the ISIS guys is having sex with spotted goats"...
Now of course Crooked Hillary's personal server with classified documents is not as grave as this. Those documents would endanger Americans, if Trump passed along something it could jeopardize a relationship with an informant!

And on the news tonight it was reported there was an NSA person in the room and stated there was no "secret" information discussed.
But as we all know this would be reported as "....Trump reveals sensitive information...".
The usual opposition spin.
Now let's see how this commentary gets spun (around) and dissed.

And that commentator on what network ???
ON the NEWS ?????
"Senior White House officials appeared to recognize quickly that Trump had overstepped and moved to contain the potential fallout.
Thomas P. Bossert, assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, placed calls to the directors of the CIA and the NSA, services most directly involved in the intelligence-sharing arrangement with the partner.
One of Bossert’s subordinates also called for the problematic portion of Trump’s discussion to be stricken from internal memos and for the full transcript to be limited to a small circle of recipients, efforts to prevent sensitive details from being disseminated further or leaked.
For most anyone in government discussing such matters with an adversary would be illegal. As president, Trump has broad authority to declassify government secrets, making it unlikely that his disclosures broke the law.
“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”
The CIA declined to comment and the National Security Agency did not respond to requests for comment."
More Thoughts on the Post Story – Talking Points Memo (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/more-thoughts-on-the-post-story)
DID YOU SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT THIS ADMINISTRATION WOULD NOT COME UP WITH A STORY ? TRUMP CAN DECLASSIFY ON HIS OWN AT ANY TIME, SO OF COURSE THAT BECOMES THE STORY.
HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU FOLKS BE CONNED
OF COURSE THIS WILL BE DENIED AND IT SHOULD BE....what ally will share intelligence with a man who simply shows it around.
They have a job and that is to protect the President (in this case from himself) and they will do it.

I see the intelligent well spoken success story awoke from his nap and expresses his usual blind loyalty to the real estate salesman.
Is it not wonderful that we have a President who fired 3 Justice Department employees because they were investigating him and the week after firing the head of the FBI, to which he admitted was to stop the inquiry into Russian inovolvement in our election.
Most, not most....ALL Presidents would actually CARE or GIVE A DAMN whether Russia tampered or tried to tamper.....NOT this President...he calls it a hoax although all our intelligence agencies have certified it true along with our allies over the world.
He not only fires those who might investigate him....he actually makes accusations of felony crimes against those he cannot fire.
And you still come on with no back up and stand behind him spouting vulgarities while you do......sort of fitting actually

This is just another impotent attack from the left. If you plan to do better than that, you had better take your political viagra, because this is pretty lame. Sorry to burst your bubble, bubbleboy but even IF he did what they said, there was no law broken How would you go about an impeachment other than having one in one of those special dreams you seem to have?
Isn't your lifesized, autographed poster of Obama getting a little too abused by now and needs to be trashed? Perhaps you could send for Hillary's to replace it. I understand she will send you one overnight if you donate to her "Resistance" fund. Make it a sizable donation though. She does not like pikers.

Sen. Bob Corker who has supported President Trump for some time....
"They are in a downward spiral right now and have got to figure out a way to come to grips with all that's happening," Corker told reporters. "You know the shame of it is there's a really good national security team in place, there's good productive things that are underway through them, and through others. But the chaos that is being created by the lack of discipline is creating an environment that I think — it creates a worrisome environment."
Alan Dershowitz who has defended Trump, and criticized liberals for attacks on Trump....
".@AlanDersh reacts to WaPo story: "This is the most serious charge ever made against a sitting president"
He, in addition and I am paraphrasing....thinks everything should be put aside until investigation is complete and if true, impeachment should start immediately.
You have your fun....the country should come first.

What Trump did is not impeachable but sure was stupid. However, he never had any government experience at all and unfortunately it is causing our great country to go from one crisis to another. Trump made millions as a business man but is making one mistake after another as POTUS. We can only hope POTUS doesn't make a "critical" one.

First off, who determined that what he did nor did not do is "stupid?" Since the persons there said nothing untoward occurred, that is a moot point. As always, someone took a statement out of context and amplified the Anti-Trump hysteria.
Exactly WHAT "crisis" are you speaking of when you say he is "causing our great country to go from one crisis to another."? I believe the crisis(s) are in your mind or being parroted from liberal talking points.
By the way, our country ALWAYS, on a day to day basis pass on classified information to foreign entities. It is up to the leaders to decide what they wish to share. And Trump is the ultimate classification authority.
So, to summarize don't be such gullible tools for the left when someone is conning you for political purposes. There is no "there" there.

Come on Trumpsters, when are you going to choose country over Trump.
I don't think they ever will. Trump has shown so many signs of complete incompetence with his actions, the people he has appointed, the stupid late night tweets. I have yet to see a Trump supporter admit that maybe they made a mistake and that this man is bad for the country. I don't know if it is pride - they can't admit they made a mistake; or that they just are unable to see what is happening; or the other option is just plain ignorance.

And yet, Trump is getting things done in spite of all the obstacles that the left and his own party have thrown at him. Guess that is really embarrassing for the left, considering all of Obama's failures. After all "the one" was supposed to be such a great speaker. I guess it's true that talking doesn't get anything done.
I admit that I am not fond of Trump's verbal demeanor, but he makes up for it by getting things done, in spite of opposition. And the left hates that about him, which is icing on the cake.

So someone tells a Washington Post reporter a story, the the reporter believes the source and prints the story. The White House denies it. McMaster says, "I was in the room. It didn't happen." The Russians have denied it.
CNN is picking out little words of McMasters statement and twisting them to say that he didn't actually deny it.
Yet CNN is hammering away at this not even questioning it's validity. They are talking about it like it absolutely did happen without question.
Supposedly, this came from someone who was in the room. But did it come directly from that person or from someone who spoke to someone who spoke to someone who was in the room?
The president has denied it in two tweets. Yet CNN is parsing every word of those tweets to somehow draw the conclusion that he's admitting and defending it.
We've all seen how things that have been said by people on both sides are twisted to mean something other than what was actually said.
I think we all need to take a deep breath and wait to find out for sure what has actually happened here. For those of you who trust the media in this country, I don't know what to say. Their bias and inaccuracy has been proven over and over again.
There are people that hate this president possibly more than any other president who ever held the office. They know that he is going to change things in Washington and there are a lot of people ensconced in the Washington system that don't want that. These people will stoop to anything to try to get him out.
The U.S. media was not allowed into this meeting while the Russian media was. They are not happy about that and are acting as if they have a right to be privy to every little thing that goes on.
The president has gotten tired of the inaccuracy of their reporting and their twisting of facts and he is dealing with them accordingly. They don't like that at all. if you don't think that they are out to get him for this, you are living in a fantasy world.
I heard one of them this morning talking about the system of checks and balances and he included the media along with legislative, judicial and executive branches. I have never heard of the media being part of our checks and balances system. These people are out of control. They seem to think that just because they are mentioned in the constitution that they are part of our government. They are not.

Will have to see how this plays out and the First Amendment in the US Constitution certainly was meant as a check-and-balance on authority as written by the Founding Fathers. There were very scared of authoritarianism in the guise of monarchy.

I'm not defending anything. I'm saying that just because some newspaper reporter prints something doesn't mean that it actually happened.
Do you believe everything that's printed? At least two people who were in the room said that it didn't happen and the Russian press said that it didn't happen. Yet CNN is talking about it like there is no doubt and you seem to believe it without question as well.
Talk about not thinking for yourself.
So far this is an allegation and nothing more. And it is an allegation put forth by a biased source.

I believe it is the egos of those who follow him. They cannot admit that they made a HUGE mistake in choosing him. He was the worst of the Republican candidates in the primaries but his off the wall trolling threw them for a loop and many Republicans loved his anti-Establishment aura even though that seems like a facade now. He is the swamp and is populating it with much more dangerous creatures like a Russian Bear.

This was reported in Foreign Policy website to which I do not subscribe. It was called to my attention yesterday and I found this about it but THIS IS TOTALLY EMBARASSING TO READ AND THE WORLD IS JUST LAUGHING...
"“NATO Frantically Tries to Trump-Proof President’s First Visit,” by Foreign Policy’s Robbie Gramer: “NATO is scrambling to tailor its upcoming meeting to avoid taxing President Donald Trump’s notoriously short attention span. The alliance is telling heads of state to limit talks to 2 to 4 minutes at a time during the discussion, several sources inside NATO and former senior U.S. officials tell FP. And the alliance scrapped plans to publish the traditional full post-meeting statement meant to crystallize NATO’s latest strategic stance. …
“‘It’s kind of ridiculous how they are preparing to deal with Trump,’ said one source briefed extensively on the meeting’s preparations. ‘It’s like they’re preparing to deal with a child — someone with a short attention span and mood who has no knowledge of NATO, no interest in in-depth policy issues, nothing,’ said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. ‘They’re freaking out.’ Still, despite these changes, experts are wary of how Trump will react to NATO meetings and their long-winded, diplomatic back-and-forth among dozens of heads of state, which can quickly balloon into hours of meandering discussions. One former senior NATO official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described these meetings as ‘important but painfully dull.’”

I used to think this site was simply a dalliance with folks going back and forth on politics.
I tried hard to get folks to talk issues and started a number of threads, and folks like this idiots ruined them all.
I suppose that that is why trolls are trolls.
What I do not understand is that even with our national and international situation dire and getting worse, these trolls continue to make light of it. They make fun if you express concern....some are so lost, they blindly come on and blame everything on the "other side"
This man promised among a lot of things he would work to bring this country together....he is trying to pull us apart along with our systems. He criticizes his own and does nothing but bow to Russia in so many many ways, including it seems, laundering their cash for years, and now shares things with them that at minimum he should just be shut up on and STILL these people find humor in all that......it is hard for me to imagine anyone calling them even an average american and not be scared....not only of this man but the divide that he not only allows, but deepens.

OK, one more time. Three people in this meeting denied that this happened. The Russian press denied that it happened. Yet the media is talking about it like it's fact.
They are parsing and twisting every word that every one in this administration speaks.
McMasters said the story was false. The next day he said that the premise of the story os false. According to several in the media these are two totally and in some cases conflicting statements.
I heard someone say yesterday that the media have been like a bunch of squirrels on cocaine since the inauguration. That also describes many of the democrats in congress as well.
Why are none of the main stream media doing a story on who leaked this information? Leaking information is illegal. What they are ALLEGING that the president did is not.

1) No, it does not. The way that the press has treated this administration I wouldn't be surprised if they completely shut them out. Every thing that is said it parsed and twisted to mean something other than what it actually means. The US press cannot be trusted. I think the president would be right to simply send out a printed question every day and not answer any more of their ridiculous "gotcha" questions.
2) Leaking information from the White House is illegal. Watergate was one of the most over blown stories in our history. What actually happened was a minor infraction. The big mistake made was the cover up. That unfortunately brought one of the best presidents in recent history.

Keep blaming the press, and the Democrats, it is the only thing that Republicans know how to do. It is the nature of the beast. Is the press and Democrats suppose to ignore all the lies, and hypocrisy like Republicans have been?
The leakers are the problem. The day of the leak Trump's staffers come out, and say the leak has no merit. One day after the leaks make news, Trump comes out and confirms what the leaker said was true, but Trump isn't the problem. He has no regard for his own people.
The man is unfit to be president. That isn't the press or the Democrats fault. It is HIS fault.
You want "fake news". Then, keep watching Fox News. They talk about alleged Russian hacking, and leaking to WikiLeaks. They talk about a Democrat leaker sending the information to WikiLeaks, who was killed in DC, and the DC police dropping their investigation. Divert! Divert! Divert! Alternative facts.
It probably makes sense to fire all 17 intelligence agencies. What the hell do they know? A byproduct of this is Trump will not receive his daily briefing from them. Then he can't declassify information by just opening his mouth, and letting the stupidity flow out.
The problem with Watergate was the cover up. Isn't that what the Comey firing is heading toward, a cover up? This time it is being done by a man without a brain. Trump's inability to think is staggering.

Trump never came out and said that what the leaker said was true. This is typical of the media taking his words and twisting them. what he said was that he has the authority to share information with other countries. That is not admitting that he shared highly classified information. It is only saying that he can if he wants to which is true.
There will be no cover up in the Comey investigation because even if the allegation is true, there is nothing illegal about the president asking for the investigation to be stopped.
That investigation has been going on for months and every single agency involved says there was no connection between the Trump campaign and the Russians. Yet every day we hear democrat with their latest buzzwords, "We have to get to the bottom of this." The bottom of what I ask? Every single agency involved in these investigations has cleared the Trump campaign of any wrong doing. This again is the democrats obstructing the process by making things up and the squirrels on crack running with it.

If President Trump asked then-FBI Director James Comey to drop the criminal investigation of General Michael Flynn, this would constitute obstruction of justice under 18 U.S.C. section 1505. Section 1505 makes it a crime to "endeavor to influence, obstruct, or impede" "any pending proceeding … before any department or agency of the United States." Obviously, Trump had knowledge that Flynn was the target of an FBI investigation. The FBI investigation was a "pending proceeding . . . before [a] department or agency of the United States." Further, if Trump had knowledge of a pending grand jury investigation targeting Flynn, his conduct would constitute an attempt to influence or obstruct a grand jury investigation. The FBI was an active participant in the grand jury investigation.
Also, 18 U.S.C. 1512(c)(2) punishes "Whoever corruptly . . . obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so." A violation of section 1512 imposes a maximum sentence of 20 years

Nice try. How about the firing of Comey? His people didn't come out and say it was about Hillary, and a day later Trump said it was about the Russia investigation.
Every single agency has come out and cleared the Trump campaign. So, both the Senate, and House intelligence committees and the FBI have concluded their investigations. Isn't it nice that they have keep their conclusions to themselves? I guess they are doing something Trump can't, and that's is keeping their mouths shut.
There is nothing illegal for the president to ask an investigation to be stopped. You have to be kidding. So, there is no such thing as obstruction of justice as it pertains to a president. Nixon resigned, because he lost the support of Congress. Trump will never resign, because the republicans are a bunch of ass kissers, or sheep being lead around by their noses, or in Mitch McConnell case by that thing growing under his chin. The Republicans in DC are a bunch of cowards. They have sold their soul, if they ever had one, to this circus clown we have as president.

This is so full of out and out lies, I must ask you to prove.
I KNOW most of your post is pure and total BS, so in addition to proving your blatant false statements, I gotta ask where you get your news ?
Let's be clear about one thing. NO AGENCY...NONE has cleared Trump or his campaign of one single thing. You are hanging onto anecdotal comments that mean nothing.
Factually, one of the investigating bodies has widened the investigation to get into the laundering of Russian money which became stalled when Trump fired the guy investigating this

I think you misunderstood his post.
I might be mistaken, but I think Joe De Vito was quoting others and answering, just not putting the posts he was answering in quotes...which makes it a bit more difficult to follow.
From what I've seen so far, Joe De Vito seems to be just as disgusted with Trump's lies, actions & words...as the other reasonable people here.

Putin had to be laughing his azz off, when he offered to give Trump copies of the 'transcripts' of a meeting in OUR White House where American journalists weren't allowed...and only Russians were there. :ohdear:

The fact that libtards can't comprehend is that there was no violation in this incident, other than the classified information leak from some scumbag in the White House. Trump is not the issue, the scumbag leaker is the issue.

Why don't you go back and read the post that I was responding to? The agencies haven't cleared Trump, but Trump insists that there is nothing there. So, what is he hanging onto? Why does he want the investigations to stop before they obtain everything is made known?

Why is there even an investigation when there has been no crime committed? Witch hunt, perhaps? Or, this is actually a campaign tool. Tell everyone that this administration is under investigation, regardless of any evidence of malfeasance, and that the voter should vote for the opposing party. Got it.

I apologize.
It was pointed out to me that I misread your post, and thus my strong response.
Sorry about that.
I thought maybe special counsel might keep him quiet but already this morning he has tweeted about a "witch hunt". I do not think this person can keep his mouth shut.
He is about to leave on a trip, and I understand there are some good possible agreements in the works, but let's see if he can blow it.
At least he cannot fire the latest investigator.
Sorry again about the misunderstanding...my bad.

NO, the voter should vote for the best candidate in their party. Clearly, Trump was the worse candidate, and unqualified. As Paul Ryan and numerous others have stated.

You have your opinion, but opinion is not fact. Even with all the leftist attacks, Trump is getting things done. And those things are the reason I voted for him, NOT because of his character. Although, the left makes out his character to be a bad thing, contrary to most that actually know him. The amusing point is that even if he was found to be guilty of any of these attacks, he was the better choice of the two candidates for president. He is still not a traitor to America, as is Hitlery.
