We are unfortunately still wannabies, but visit often. Last Sat nite we enjoyed the entertainment at Lake Sumpter. About 8:45 we decided we needed an ice cream cone so walked over to Hagan Das. Just as we got to the street we saw avery large crowd gathered between the ice cream place and RJ Gators. We could not understand what was the attraction. We got ice cream and went down to the dock to sit down. In just a few minutes we heard rather loud music coming from someplace. We went to investigate and could figure out through the heavy crowd that it was coming from Red Sauce. We asked some standing there and were told that it was new, and the usual on Sat nite. While we enjoyed the music we questioned if it would draw a rowdy crowd, possibly outsiders, that don't share the respect of TV as villagers do. Any comments? Laurie and Larry

LB, we were rowdy but we are villagers. Too bad we didn't know you were there, we would have invited you into the group. Yes it does draw outsiders but those of us inside the veranda are very behaved (ahem?) adults. If your curious, I was there dancing with a bunch of my rowdy friends. But we were having a great time. Come join us next time.

good food, good drink, good friends, music, big crowd, dancing = good time had by all.....can unfortunately be another persons rowdy (unfortunately for them).
And as long as no body is breaking any laws it should be allowed to continue as long as the crowds partake.

Eat, drink and be merry...a lot more fun than snoozin' on the couch in front of the boob tube (but.....to each his/her own).

Without the "outsiders" you would not be able to enjoy the fine restaurants & other businesses in The Villages.
There are rowdy villagers as well as non-villagers....if necessary the Sumter County Sheriff can deal with any problems.
We need the support of the local community.

"outsiders"??? The town squares are open to all. Thank goodness. If you really want to let loose with some "outsiders' head for Tony Pacos Fri and Sat nite.

BTW, "outsiders" built my home in Duval.

Having visited a few times and on our way tomorrow for good, that's part of the attraction and attraction of TV. You can kick up your heals, raise some cane or sit on your butt whichever you like. Try going to Margareta Republic on dueling Piano night. I ran into a young guy in my home town one night who told us about the piano night. He said "I wish I were old enough to live in TV" you people are nuts. As for outsiders your right they do dump a lot of money into TV. I'm sure if things got out of hand it would be taken care of. Eat,Drink be merry did I mention drink some more.Should be arriving Friday night, can't wait.:crap2::jester::pepper2::pepper2::2excited:

Skip, if you get in early enough, we'll be a Havana CC on Friday night, dancing till midnight, come join us. Otherwise, look for us at Red Sauce on Sat night, we're the ones kicking up our heels and raising our glasses!! See ya then.

If RS keeps up what they had Saturday night they may very well be the most successful venture at LSL. The only concern I have is if TV gets upset about the street full. At one time both a Sheriff and Local Watch car were there to control the crowd. Me & wife thought that it may be agood idea to just block it off on Saturday night's like they do other areas of the square for different events that we have seen since we have bought here.
So one night if you were Bobby Daren's, "Mack The Knife" booming out, it is probably me!

Just to add.....I have just returned home to TV and was at Red Sauce Saturday Night --- I watched everyone "insiders" and "outsiders" have a great time of fun. Singers were of all ages and the crowd cheered each on - I didn't see anyone get out of hand. In fact, each time I went inside the restaurant, a young man with yellow and blue hair respectfully opened the door for me. Everyone seemed to have a great time and to be honest my only regret is that I can't sing!! I can't wait til this Saturday night!!
I'm just soooooo happy :pepper2: to be home in TV!!

I also was there for a while & listened to alot of the singing. I sang Old Time Rock & Roll. It is a good time. Have to get there so early though to get a seat.
Ya gotta love life in The Villages. Where else would you have any of this.
