Hi All,

Ok, this is a silly question, but I am wondering what a reply post of only "////" means? I tried googling on line without success, and see it often enough but have never figured out the context.

Thanks!

It usually means someone edited their post, removed the text, and replaced it with ///. Apparently three letters, numbers, or signs are required to replace text in a post.

This website does not allow you to delete a post. But you can edit your post. So if you regret your entry which said "X restaurant poisoned me" you edit that entry to /// or some other 3 keystroke which is the minimum length posting.

Some folks use it to "bump" the thread to keep it going....

Some people use it to respond emotionally, without saying anything.

Some people use it to respond emotionally, without saying anything.

Sometimes it means "Oh Foot!"

And sometimes it means La la la la la la la with ears covered.

And sometimes it means I was wrong and want to take my post down.

And sometimes it means Don't make me get up out of this chair.

And sometimes it means Guess what nasty reply I have/how I really feel but am not actually posting.

There are no silly questions here - only silly responses!
