View Full Version : Threw away hour of my life today

I listened to over an hour of of Senate hearing today and I'm embarrassed to say those are the people we've elected to lead our country. It was all grandstanding by those who are for Trump and those against him. Not a single person really interested in getting facts. The witnesses doing everything they could to blow smoke. I'm afraid that is the real America now.

At least the GOP asked questions related to the subject. The hearing was supposed to be about FISA legislation, and turned out to be a liberal attempt at impeachment of the president.

It was an OPEN hearing and you will hear nothing or very little.

I keep saying.....this investigation will take time and we will not know the outcome until warrants are issued.

I watched as well as the Republican chair cut the California Senator Kamala Harris off at the knees during her questioning. Much like Mitch McConnell did to Elizabeth Warren.

It was apparent this meeting was going no where fast! The good olde boys club are at it again.

It is an OPEN hearing, as I said.

OPEN means the voters are watching....work is done in closed session.

Of course my comments only apply because of the nature of the hearing. You can see them work together in an OPEN session on a different subject. Still, they will play to the voters, and get most of the work done in their own offices. It is not a pretty system, or fast, but it works and works very well. We need to attack that which slows it down and that is the total polarity in the country.

We need to stress listening and compromise. Example is, with compromise which was going to happen with immigration we probably have a bill passed by now, but alas we are stuck with court battles and whatever they outcome, it will go by the way side when a new administration comes in.

Legislation, with serious discussion is the only way to move forward....I am just sick of Executive orders from BOTH parties, then hear them say they accomplished something...NO, they did not

Like the warrants that were issued in the Clinton "non" investigation.

Obama, hillary clinton Era will go down as most evil, corrupt EVER.

I agree - that was incredibly rude. Republicans can't seem to put the country first, its just the usual "stand by your man".

Just a suggestion since you are altering the existing thread...

Suggest you review the exhaustive completed investigation, and if you wish submit YOU findings to YOUR attorney.

But these issues investigated for years and years with no finding of criminality.

See, the folks you are going after are serving in no office, are running for nothing and a REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED congress after all those years found nothing.

My suggestion, if the past investigations intrigue you, you probably could get the minutes, but after the years of investigations, it might take a truck.

Your dementia is showing. The executive privilege and totally corrupt attorney general and justice department blocked the criminality.

Are you kidding me! I'm GOP. My relatives have fought in almost all wars this country has fought. I have 5 who fought in the American Revolutionary War. Don't even begin to lecture me on who can put the USA first. What are you a Snowflake Sonny?

If you are proud of GOP performance you are a great example of where we are as a people now. As Trump would sad, SAD.

Personally, and for the most part, I have just lost heat and hence interest.

The emotional and irrational tirade against Trump began the second it was found that he was elected and it hasn't stopped. There is plenty of innuendo and speculation but no evidence.

Congress and the federal bureaucracy did pretty much nothing constructive before Trump except to reach for more power. Now it is even worse with the leaks, lies, etc and the rest of the world watching as America de-constructs.

There is no sense in trying to have a rational discussion in this hyper-partisan atmosphere. people are just shouting at one another

Let them rant and rave. If Trump is guilty then let him be punished but the circus is simply annoying.

Hypocrisy abounds via the malfeasance committed by Obama, Clinton, et al and the typical response "It wasn't me"

How can one engage with all this pretense and drama

Personal Best Regards:

You speak as if you are the only American disturbed by all of this, except your response is to reach back in time and blame Obama, Clinton, and you never ever even address the present and what your hero, Trump has and is doing to the office of the Presidency.

NEVER do you address him or his issues, BUT CONSISTENTLY talk of the past.

But we are a country based on immigrants.

When will liberals stop reaching toward the past to justify their ridiculous beliefs?
