It was good to see the cabinet members kiss up to the President. Like any great "banana republic" we neeed to kiss up to our Geat Leader. God is on the side of our version of Kim Jong Un. General Mattis was the only member that had the courage to thank our troops and not join the other worshippers. It is good to know that America is no longer about US, but about Our Great Leader.
When will the Inquisition begin to rid America of the non believers who doubt the greatness of our Beloved Leader?

Give the devil his due. He is a strange person but not as evil as those who lost the election make him out to be. I have never in my life seen anyone so beat up on both fairly and unfairly.

Thank God he isn't black or Muslim and heavily criticized every day ....The folks who tell us to act nice would be at their wits end.

Did anyone notice he lighted the White House blue on Autism Day? No...we only care about rainbows anymore.

We will all have to endure this barrage of criticism, warranted and unwarranted for the next four years and sadly we won't be alive in twenty or thirty years to see what history made of his clumsy language and great ideas for the most part, great ideas. I would like to see the TEMPORARY REFUGEE BAN put in place and I would like to see the government hire about two thousand reputable Arabic interpreters and translators so that we can make some sense of the folks who are being interviewed. I also wish for a lot of other unreasonable and foolish things sometimes.

"There they sat, like Soviet mandarins, one by one praising the fearless leader making America great again. Most impressive of all, they did it with straight face, though there couldn’t have been a man or woman in that room who wasn’t aware of how surreal the scene was.

Well, except for President Donald Trump, who seemed to enjoy every moment. He set the tone by doing the thing he loves most: celebrating himself."

Gracie, he is slowly destroying our country and what it stands for. He has and continues to attack every fiber of the country. His polls continue to go down and I hope what I hear is true.....at 30% the party leaves him.

He is embarassing our country with his hate and venom filled actions.

You, Rubicon and the rest call it going after him....HE and HE ALONE is the cause of all the problems, but he has convinced you that it is all somebody else's fault......He is a disgusting human being in every way....certainly the OPPOSITE of a patriot. He destroys patriots if they do not agree......as the foreign press describes this administration....VERY RUSSIAN LIKE.

So...you're saying...they should be against him? Fight him? Everyone in government should work against the sitting president? They should hate him and not like him? Abhor him, loathe him, instead work with him?

Really?

And yet, you NEVER have a clue to what you mean when you say that. You give no examples of your worry, a sissy worry at that. You only disparage him because you are a loser. You didn't even vote so you have no right to complain.

Once again, give one REAL example of your accusations. Other than you believe him to be a real meanie. You know, do it without using your limp wrist.

Maybe Trump should have given one example of his major legislation bills that he has passed through both parts of congress. They must be numerous. He said he has passed more than every other president in history except a few. Since when does zero qualify as numerous?

Backing out of the Paris accords isn't an embarrassment to the US? Degrading NATO isn't an embarrassment? The asinine statements that he made about the London mayor after the terrorist attack isn't an embarrassment?

"In just 100 days, President Donald Trump has damaged American democracy while simultaneously accelerating democracy's global decline.

No, Trump is not a dictator or a fascist, as some wrongly claimed. But he certainly has authoritarian tendencies and a baffling admiration for despots. He has a penchant for attacking democratic institutions and appears willing to sacrifice them in a heartbeat on the altar of his ego. And he has spouted several dangerous lies that a sizable portion of his political base unfortunately believes to be true. As a result, he has already managed to do major damage to democracy at home and abroad...."

The threat Donald Trump poses to democracy is not overblown - Chicago Tribune (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-donald-trump-threatens-democracy-20170502-story.html)

"Since his inauguration on Jan. 20, Trump has governed in a way that poses a unique threat to the integrity of American democracy.

Democracy is bigger than partisanship. Therefore, this is not a critique of Trump’s policy proposals. Rather, it’s a sober assessment of American democracy at a pivotal moment — and a call for Americans of all political stripes to press all politicians to agree, at minimum, on preserving the bedrock principles that make the United States a democracy."

"The attorneys-general of Maryland and the District of Columbia have filed a federal lawsuit against US President Donald Trump, alleging he violated the constitution by retaining ties to his sprawling global business empire and by accepting foreign payments while in office.

The constitution prevents the president and other government employees from accepting foreign gifts and payments without congressional approval

Much of the case is focused on allegations Mr Trump's real estate and business holdings violate a little-known emoluments clause of the constitution.

The provision bars the president and other government employees from accepting foreign gifts and payments without congressional approval.

"The President's conflicts of interest threaten our democracy," Maryland Attorney-General Brian Frosh said at a press conference announcing the lawsuit with District counterpart Karl Racine.
"We cannot treat the President's ongoing violations of the constitution and his disregard of the rights of the American people as the new acceptable status quo."

"When President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday, he shattered yet another long-standing political rule in what has become a series of rock throwing at American institutions. But this one threatens to transform the face of U.S. democracy, experts say.

“Trump absolutely has the legal authority to remove the director of the FBI,” says Jacob Parakilas, who researches U.S. national security at the international affairs think tank Chatham House. “But to do so without citing a particular violation of practice or violation of law is highly irregular and really shatters numerous political norms about FBI independence.”

In an interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt Thursday Trump called Comey “a showboat” and “a grand stander.” He said he was going to fire Comey “regardless” of a rationale outlined by deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein in a letter that the White House first used to defend the firing.

"Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Thursday that President Donald Trump posed a threat "to our system" of democracy through his "assaults on our institutions."

"The president himself has undertaken, whether intentionally or not, assaults on our institutions,"

A retired Air Force lieutenant general, he served under Presidents Barack Obama, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

"To our system, the assaults on the institutions starting with my own, the intelligence community, and his characterization of us as Nazis," Clapper said, referring to Trump's attacks shortly before taking office in January.

I kept waiting for them to to get on their knees...and start bowing.

So, who is crazy, the party that started this nonsense or the party that is following their lead?

Ask Reid what the Republicans were doing. After all, he held up about a hundred House passed bills on his desk that he refused to act upon.

Do you really think that anyone other than perhaps some college kids would vote for Democrats after seeing them singing "we shall overcome" in congress after a vote? Do you think that this last Youtube video with Schumer mimicking Trump's meeting, is mature and vote inspiring? When the economy is excelling and health care is brought under control, will the democrat voters even consider the left for their vote?
