No, the Coal Industry Didn't Create '50,000 Jobs' Last Year - The Atlantic (https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2017/06/pruitt-epa-coal-jobs-exaggerate/529311/?utm_source=fbb)

From your link...

"On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Scott Pruitt, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, claimed that the U.S. has created 50,000 jobs in the coal sector since the fourth quarter of 2016."

"Quite simply, the coal sector has added about 1,000 jobs since October 2016—not 50,000. Coal could not have added 50,000 jobs in the last eight months, since that is essentially the size of the entire coal industry, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. "

But of course, the teens who debate moderators will buy whatever this administration says.

And you wonder where that rep of Trump followers came from !

Y'all just don't get it.

The truth no longer matters! :ohdear:

If Trump said the sun will rise in the west tomorrow, there would be millions of people...out in their yards at sunrise. :ohdear:

What scares me is not simply a little lie here and there...they are politicians after all.

What bothers and scares me is the chronic blatant lies followed by calling truth fake news. Made much more serious if referring to the President personally.

One day this country will need truth from the White House, which in every admin happens, and I, personally, know the President WILL LIE NO MATTTER WHAT IF TRUTH IS NIT COMFORTABLE TO HIM.

THAT scares me.

Big deal. Obama did the same thing. He changed the way he spoke about unemployment and about all kinds of statistics. What ever favors the current administration at the time. I don't take the word of politicians and especially biased media and pundits. I go directly to the stats, and one of the easiest sources is the U.S.National Debt Clock. It updates real time.
