The Google logo commerates all sorts of "Stuff". But they did not remember 9/11 in their logo. Check out BING, they remembered.

All of my search engines only show words - no ads - no pictures - Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.

I am not sure what I am supposed to be looking for.

I use IE8 and select from the search area at the top.

What am I missing?

I agree, google puts up logo mod's for days I never heard of, birthdays, inventions, days to celebrate, and they ignore 9/11. Bing has a great picture of the towers in the background and the new memorial in the foreground. Good job for bing. I am posting a complaint on google.

They are talking about going to the actual sites themselves, not doing a search from within IE8. If you go to Bing's site (http://www.bing.com) you will see they have a picture commemorating 9/11. If you go to google's site (http://www.google.com) you just see their normal homepage. Even though google often commemorates obscure days, they did nothing for 9/11.

Thanks. I have never had a reason to go to the sites themselves. However, I don't know why you are picking on Google. I just went to several different sites - Yahoo, Google, TV Guide, Blockbuster, the villages.net., TOTV etc and none of them mention 9/11. The only reason Comcast mentions it is because it is one of the news click ons.

I have been using Google as my home-page because I liked how they changed their logo for different historical dates or "special" days. I thought they should have had something for 9/11.

Okay. Then you should let them know. Sorry.

I am not shy about letting people know what I think. I also e-mailed Bing to thank them.
