He not only supported the troops, he also helped orphaned children as casualties of the war from the OTHER side. The man was a great humanitarian. I had left my heart in San Francisco to a lady I went to law school with who is now a HUGE immigration lawyer there. Married and probably with kids. Have not seen her though since 1989 and was worried about how I would explain my life since 1989 at the 30th year law school re-union they had a few months ago for the U of MN Law School in Minneapolis. She was one of the people who managed the 30th Re-Union.

Still think of this woman a lot. She had been a friend of sorts in law school. She was incredibly smart, sophisticated and funny. I had talked with her about a lot of stuff while we were both in Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners.

A replica of the 1903 airplane is on display in Kitty Hawk, NC at the visitor center. The real thing is at the National Air and Pace Museum in DC. I have been to see both and each time felt moved. What an incredible feat! It changed the world.
